Job Title:Senior DevOps Engineer Project Summary: Ascendion seeks a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our DevOps group, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Your expertise with MS Azure, OpenShift, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes will be essential in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on MS Azure, ensuring scalability, availability, and security. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated builds, tests, and deployments.

Work closely with development teams to automate and streamline operations and processes. Deploy and manage containerized applications using OpenShift or Kubernetes. Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments. Required Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.

Strong hands-on experience with MS Azure cloud services (Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure SQL Database, etc.). Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools. Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Openshift or Kubernetes. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.

Preferred Skills: Healthcare background Open to work onsite if needed. Over 10 years of experience.

Location:Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $100,000 – $135,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
