Team Overview:

The Annalect Engineering team is an engaged and innovative group of technologists that includes backend, frontend, full-stack, DevOps, and data engineers. It is comprised of team members who are highly collaborative and committed to a culture of work/life balance and continual learning and development. Annalect DevOps is directly responsible for the 24x7 monitoring and maintenance of the Annalect platforms, working closely with technology leadership, and are ultimately responsible for ensuring technology quality and security. The DevOps team is the final ownership line for all clouds.

Please note: This role will require an in-office presence; minimum of 3 days per week

Qualifications

Required Skills And Qualifications

• 7+ years of DevOps experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in administering cloud technologies on AWS, especially with IAM, VPC, Lambda, EKS, EC2, S3, ECS, CloudFront, ALB, API Gateway, RDS, CodeBuild, SSM, Secret Manager, Lambda, API Gateway etc.

• Familiarity with working with data and databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora, Redis, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery). Knowledge of Database administration

• Demonstrable experience of using Terraform to provision and configure infrastructure

• Scripting ability - PowerShell, Python, Bash etc. Comfortable working with Linux/Unix based operating systems (Ubuntu preferred)

• Familiarity with software development, CICD and DevOps tools (Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab, CodeBuild, CodePipeline)

• Possesses a problem-solving attitude. Creative, self-motivated, a quick study, and willing to develop new skills

• Experience with microservices, containers (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes), serverless computing (AWS Lambda) and distributed/scalable systems.

• Experience with continuous deployment / continuous delivery (Jenkins, Bamboo)

• AWS/GCP/Azure Certification is a plus

• Experience in python coding is welcome

• Passion for data-driven software. All of our tools are built on top of data and require work with data.

• Knowledge of IaaS/PaaS architecture with good understanding of Infrastructure and Web Application security

• Experience with logging/monitoring (CloudWatch, Datadog, Loggly, ELK)

• Passion for writing good documentation and creating architecture diagrams

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

Annalect is looking for a Senior Devops Engineer to work in our Cloud based environment.  The Senior DevOps Engineer will be directly responsible for the 24x7 monitoring and maintenance of the Annalect platforms, working closely with technology leadership, and be ultimately responsible for ensuring technology quality. This individual must have a proven track record of success managing/working in a functional and technical team with a strong sense of quality ownership for existing and new cloud based platforms and features.

This is a hands-on position that requires strategic thinking and planning to provide expertise throughout the entire infrastructure and operational lifecycle, ensuring the success of the team's planning, building, operating, optimizing and automation efforts. This senior team member will provide mentorship and coaching to DevOps engineers and other technology team members.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a full-time position. We are not able to accommodate C2C or C2H contract engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the cloud infrastructure for Development, Test, and Production environments.

• Communicate with the product development teams in several geographical locations to produce requirements for infrastructure, networking, and operations toolsets necessary to provision and maintain product lines.

• Review and establish best practices for CI/CD solutions in collaboration with teams.

• Provision and set up all environments (Live, Staging, Dev, QA) and coordinate with teams to ensure environments meet company standards and best practices.

• Perform release and configuration management.

• Act as a technical delivery resource for project specific tasks.

• Build and maintain the core technology platform monitoring services.

• Build and maintain automated deployment of the platform's cloud infrastructure.

• Build and maintain secure continuous deployment pipelines and automat continuous security monitoring and alerting using cloud capabilities.

• Help with threat assessment and penetration testing as early as necessary/possible.

• Help identify problem points within the production environment.

• Solve day-to-day operational problems with the production environment.

• Ensure robust, stable, and secure back-end infrastructure to support product portfolio.

• Support the development team during application enhancements.

• Contribute to Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery design.

• Stay up to date with industry trends.

• Maintain JIRA data accuracy

• Ensure top-notch documentation of code, data dictionaries and process flows

• Maintain Documentation on Confluence

• Translating business requirements to technical requirements

• Establish and maintain policy for documentation of all Annalect technology products.

• Provide monthly reporting metrics.

• Document and ensure on the Annalect TIO WIKI platform details utilizing our Confluence site

• Manage the relationship between the Applications team and all Technical Infrastructure and Operations teams - includes being the point of contact for new environments & architectural components when needed

• Work with the AOK (User/Application support team), DevOps and Business Unit teams on any emergency issues

Compensation Range: $105,000 to $150,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
