We are a Data Warehouse and BI focused team, building out an automated data delivery systems in the cloud. Our responsibilities include data acquisition; dissemination; implementing workflow pipelines using Talend like technologies, implementing ETLs, publishing reports and dashboards using Qlikview and other home grown frameworks.

The Senior Developer will be a key member of Regulatory Data Team (part of the DWBI team), to design and implement data feeds to external regulatory agencies and internal compliance departments. We like this person to be proactive, forward-thinking and passionate about designing and implementing innovative ways to archive the above goal.

Key responsibilities:

  • Automate and monitor data feeds to internal and external regulatory agencies.

  • Interact with the business and SME's to understand business requirements and implement the required processes.

  • Build and deploy checks for data quality controls.

  • Work within and across Agile teams to develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions for data acquisition and dissemination.

  • 5+ years of Experience and Required Skills

  • Interacting with the users to gather / understand business requirements.

  • SQL/PLSQL (Oracle and PostgreSQL) and relational database technology.

  • Python and Java script programing skills.

  • EXCEL and VBA skills, Java Script

  • Data formats like JSON, XML, HTML, etc.

  • REST APIs.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • AWS technologies.

  • Regulatory and Compliance related fields.

  • BI and reporting tools like QlikView and QlikSense.

We have many opportunities to design and develop innovative solutions to accomplish ever-growing customer requirements. We're continuing to grow rapidly, and have opportunities on the following team: Content Team Our clients make hundreds of thousands of requests for data on a daily basis, which translates to billions of data points that flow through our system. Each of these requests may have different parameters asking for different data types, how and when it should be fetched, and various transformations to be performed. Additionally, we generate thousands of data sets that nearly span the full range of the financial industry on an ongoing basis. To meet these demands, this team designs, develops and maintains software that generates machine readable data. This is done via interactions with API's provided by data teams within Bloomberg. Our software runs within a microservices, celery-based architecture that runs across hundreds of machines to execute large, distributed systems. The team is working on replacing all our legacy systems and frameworks. These will be used in our celery based infrastructure which handles the requests automatically (end-to-end). Furthermore, we will build a framework to perform quality checks (data, performance, format) when compared to the legacy output. As an engineering consultant, you'll have the opportunity to work with a vast array of technologies with primarily migrating a lot of C++ code into python. Additionally you'll gain experience with RabbitMQ, Celery, Git, Jenkins, testing frameworks like pytest, robot You'll need to have 3+ years of experience with the following: * C++ development * Development tools such as debuggers, memory profilers, and performance measurement We'd love to see: * Experience with other languages such as Python and Java * Relational database experience (SQL and table design) * Experience developing software in a UNIX environment * Experience with low-latency, high-volume, and highly-availability distributed systems We are extremely proud of our diverse and open culture, and value diversity of thought and perspective in every form.
