OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Senior PHP Developer. The mission of this role is to contribute significantly in the day-to-day development of our software suite as well as contribute in architecture decisions and roadmap planning. Daily collaborations with business stakeholders, designers and other developers, including offshore resources will be an integral part of this role with a focus on driving system functionality and usability.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Planning and executing on application development and infrastructure projects both large and small
  • Analysis and selection of new and emerging technologies for integration into our architecture
  • Creating project specifications and reliable estimates working closely with company stakeholders
  • Contributing to architecture and roadmap decisions
  • Tracking and reporting progress on projects
  • Implementing and supporting 3rd party tools and infrastructure used across the company
  • Creating and maintaining documentation in code and for Buy It Installed applications and APIs
  • Leading small teams of developers, including offshore resources

Requirements

  • 5+ years of LAMP web development experience
  • 3+ years experience with vanilla JavaScript and jQuery
  • 1+ years Laravel Development Experience
  • Experience with Amazon EC2, S3 and RDS
  • Experience integrating with SAAS & API Driven Applications
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development, Scalability testing and CI Workflows
  • Fluent in GIT version control working in a team environment
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian product suite: Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence
  • Experience leading small teams and working with offshore resources

Technical Experience with some or all of the following is helpful

  • Experience with Node.js
  • Experience with other JavaScript libraries/frameworks like Backbone.js, Meteor, Angular, Vue.js etc.
  • Familiarity with the Java-script visualization libraries like Joint.js, BPMN.js, Rappid.js, or D3.js
  • Advanced knowledge of Jenkins, Travis CI, Bamboo or comparable continuous integration tools
  • Experience with Docker, Chef, Puppet or other infrastructure automation tools
  • Experience with complex branch strategies and source control as it pertains to CI
  • Proven experience managing code deployment workflows
  • Familiarity with PhoneGap, Ionic, React
  • Restful API Development

Bonus

  • BS or MA in CS, CE, MIS
  • Prior Experience working in Start Up Environment helpful
  • Active history in Github/StackOverflow
