About the Firm:

Cambridge Associates was founded in the early 1970s to assist nonprofit institutions with the investment of their endowment assets. Today, we provide investment management, financial planning and proprietary capital markets research to over 990 clients including nonprofit institutions, private clients (families) and pension plans.

The firm advises on assets in all asset categories, including equities, bonds, non-US investments, real estate, venture capital, hedge funds, leveraged buyout funds, oil and gas partnerships, and many other types of investments. We monitor the performance of nearly all major institutional investment managers and provide an advanced monitoring service for our clients to evaluate alternative assets managers such as venture capital and private equity.

About the Team:

The Core Data team is seeking a senior-level back-end developer to join our development team. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team developing a centralized data and analytics platform that is critical to the success of the firm.

Core Data the data backbone of Cambridge Associates. We are creating a system to provide data sourced from legacy and external systems to all corners of the firm.

Our focus is ensuring that our consumers have the most up to date and accurate data so that they can focus on making investment decisions, providing valuable research or building reports for our clients. The decisions we make, the technologies we use and the things we build are shaping the future of our firm. We have the opportunity to try new things that have never been attempted before. We release frequently and have the flexibility to act upon changing business conditions.

Our developers are responsible for activities across the spectrum of software delivery - reviewing business needs, providing a technical design, implementation, testing and maintaining of software. Cambridge Associates is looking for creative individuals who are driven to produce great solutions while following standards and industry best practices. These positions require intelligent and self-motivated developers.

About You:

You have an interest in financial markets and welcome breaking down challenging problems. You're self-motivated and can work independently, but you're not afraid to ask for help when you need it.

You understand the importance of testing your work. You have experience working in a team delivering software and programming in Java or similar languages. You have a Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree.

A bonus if you have experience with Spring, AWS, Elasticsearch, JavaScript, or Angular. You must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

What You'll Do * Design, test and build our Datto SaaS Protection platform. * Work with product management to develop new products and features that improve the MSP experience and ensure reliable and secure data protection for our customers. * Work with software and hardware teams to improve Datto SaaS Protection system performance, scalability, durability, and security. * Develop advanced telemetry to diagnose and debug problems in the field and improve the quality of our software. * Passionately promote Datto's core values.
