Senior Developer

Purpose:

Accountabilities:

• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements changes to new and existing software applications.

• Documents code and provides guidance to team members.

• Participates in design and codes small to large software applications as part of a team.

• Performs application testing to assure delivery meets the user's requirements.

• Assists Project Managers in conducting fact-findings, which will result in the formulation and definition of the system scope and objectives for developing or modifying information software applications.

• Provides accurate estimates for one or more applications.

• Supports internal policies and procedures (standards, controls and metrics).

• Communicates effectively within own team, across other IT teams and management.

• Resolves complex software issues.

• Understands various departments within IT and IT's function within the company.

• Worksite is in Woodland Hills, CA with the option to work from home up to 3 days per week.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Analysis, or related field.
• 4 years of experience as a Senior Developer, Software Developer, IT Developer, Middleware Developer, Information Architect, or similar duties under a different job title.
• 4 years of experience with: Java, Python or C#; Oracle, SQL Server, or Postgres.
• 3 years of experience with: REST and SOAP; AWS, Spring Cloud, or GCP/Azure; Docker or Kubernetes; Waterfall or Agile; Jenkins, Jira, Git; and implement CI/CD solutions.
• 1 year of experience with: Splunk or ELK; and working in the financial, annuity, and/or life insurance industry.

Wage Range: $149,136 - $154,136/yr

$138,480.00 - $207,720.00 USD Annual

Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
