We are looking for a qualified Dev Ops engineer to join our growing team in NYC in NYC or you can work remotely anywhere in the US or Denmark. You will participate alongside the existing team in ensuring our infrastructure continues to run smoothly and will have a lot of flexibility in terms of technologies that you will be using daily, and you will have a say in terms of how those technologies should be used going forward.
We expect you to be a team player and enjoy collaborating with others to find the best solution to a problem, and comfortable working in a dynamic work environment where change is expected. You have a service-oriented mindset and like to take ownership and follow your tasks through to completion. You should also have a systematic and logical approach to solving problems and enjoy teaching and mentoring other coworkers with your knowledge and new findings.
Senior Dev Ops Engineer Tasks:
Participate in implementing improvements to our (automated) DevOps framework (release scripts, tools, build environments, etc.)
Help improve and maintaining build environments across multiple platforms
Collaborating with developers on ways to continuously improve infrastructure, such as upgrading operating systems, migrating to Docker containers, etc.
Monitoring production environments in AWS
Participate in pager duty and call rotation to ensure system stability
Help detect and troubleshoot production issues and assist in resolving them
Help ensure that our systems meet general security standards
Facilitate backup and restoration of our systems
4+ years of experience in a similar dev ops role
6+ years of Linux system administration
Good understanding of Windows system administration
Extensive experience with AWS, EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM
Thorough understanding and experience Docker/Kubernetes/AWS ECS container infrastructure and orchestration
High experience with configuration management tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible, and others
Experience building CI/CD pipelines, with experience in Jenkins
Extensive knowledge and experience with scripting tools and languages, such as Ruby, Python, Bash, etc.
Experience with Git version control system
Bonus Skills and Experience:
Experience with Asp.Net (Core)
Experience with Solr
Experience with SQL
Experience using JIRA
Understanding and experience with the medical industry
An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
