Seeking a seasoned Sr. Surface Designer to design, guide, and execute the development of soft and hard goods. Candidates must have strong illustrative and graphic skills with a portfolio emphasis on Seasonal/Home Dcor/Textile products (Wall Decor, Tabletop, Floor Coverings, etc.). Ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to adapt to change and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Develop designs and color palettes based on product categories, trends and customer needs.

  • Managing the design development process through its entire lifecycle, from concept and ideation stages, through design reviews, sample reviews, and product finalizations.

  • Lead the set-up of product and assortment review presentations for your specific categories

  • Develop and maintain soft and hard goods library.

  • Develop new design concepts based on Customer trend objectives

  • Ensuring that projects are completed on time and with accuracy and speed

  • Support overseas Sourcing partners

  • Support Design Director and SVP of Product Development on projects as needed

  • Manage and guide both internal and external Designers

  • Keeping abreast of current Design trend and technologies as they pertain to relevant design and development categories

  • Maintain PD development timelines


  • Degree in Design. (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)

  • 7-10 years' experience in Product Design and Development

  • Strong understanding of original artwork, repeat pattern knowledge preferred

  • Must have excellent computer skills including thorough knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, MS Office; Excel, Power Point and Word.

  • Excellent visual, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be highly organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once.

  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions at times with limited guidance for the benefit of the company and our partners.

  • Need to be able to take direction from the executive team.

  • Some international travel maybe required.

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in financial issues, capital markets and product life cycles, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including in the following areas: * Utilizing problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; * Researching and analyzing pertinent client, industry, and financial matters; while demonstrating thorough technical and analytical skills; * Being agile and flexible when adapting to changing client needs and market conditions; * Developing, utilizing or reviewing/validating complex financial models; * Utilizing industry software, e.g. INTEX, TREPP, Bloomberg, CapIQ, or, advanced Excel modeling; * Applying accounting treatments of financial products and securitizations held by financial institutions; * Communicating effectively, both written and verbally, within a professional services business environment; * Working as both an individual contributor and team member, identifying and addressing client needs; * Actively participating in client discussions and meetings; * Communicating a broad range of firm services and managing engagements; and, * Preparing concise, accurate documents and maintaining project economics while maintaining flexibility for unanticipated issues.
