Meet the Team:

We're looking for a highly driven, self-motivated individual to work directly with our Chief Design Officer and her leadership team to drive key strategic initiatives and outcomes across the Experience Design organization.

You will be a member of our diverse Experience Design team, where we use our design and research skills to inspire and influence everyone across the company. Your Way to Impact:

As Design Program Management Director within the Experience Design team, you will be a part of a new Design Program Management team. You will lead design teams and work with other senior leaders and cross-functional team members to deliver the best possible experiences for our customers.

Your Day to Day:

• Guide UX efforts across the PayPal product portfolio, including strategy, planning, working with cross-functional partners to deliver the best possible experiences for our customers.

• Own program strategy for end-to-end delivery using product development process lifecycles and workflows.

• Drive continuous improvement to design operations and processes (intake, capacity planning, tooling, workflow mapping)

• Collaborate with other cross-functional Design team leaders (Research, Content Design, Design Operations, Branding) and Business and Engineering stakeholders.

• Work with Program Management leaders in PayPal community to establish best practices in process, tooling, and approach.

What You Need to Bring:

• A successful candidate should have at least 12+ years of experience as a producer, project manager, or program manager.

• Proven ability in managing projects within a design team or design operations is required.

• Candidates should have a minimum of 5+ years leading design program management teams.

• Thorough command of the UX lifecycle, knowledgeable in all skill areas and tools, including facilitation of workshops or other collaboration techniques

• Background in software, product, or design development and ability to understand technical designs, challenges, and risks quickly conceptually is preferred.

• Experience with project management software tools and templates; Familiarity with standard design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Framer, and Miro

• Experience working in Finance, FinTech or a similar industry is an advantage.
