SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer responsible for developing innovative, leading-edge products for emerging mobile 5G NR applications. This will involve designing and developing an RF front-end module using advanced GaAs, Silicon, and BAW/SAW filter technologies. You will be a key member of the Mobile Advanced Development team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and development of RFICs and RF front-end module (FEM) devices for 5G NR mobile wireless applications. These devices incorporate multiband power amplifiers (PA), multimode SOI LNAs, switches, couplers, detectors, and BAW/SAW filters.

• Support RFIC circuits integration into a multi-chip module (MCM)

• Use of RF measurement equipment with the ability to troubleshoot design issues

• Documentation and presentation of results to internal and external customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of MSEE

• 5+ years of RF circuit design and development experience using ADS/Cadence/AWR and HFSS/FEM EM simulators

• Strong background in RF measurements and characterization, including Python/MatLab/C++ programming skills

• Experience in RFIC design using various silicon technologies, including SOI, SiGe, and bulk CMOS technologies, is plus

• Detailed transistor-level knowledge; Capable of design-supporting analog circuitry such as current references, bandgaps, charge pumps, LDOs, DACs, and level shifter

• Capable of refining the simulation results to achieve excellent predictability for first-pass success

• Be able to work independently within a fast-paced environment

• Good communication and presentation skills

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $136,000 - $176,800, relevant for the California Bay Area (subject to change dependent on physical location)

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.
