Providecoordination and review project activities, which include managed, franchisedand company-owned hotels, to ensure quality control, brand compliance,operation acceptability and adherence.
Plansand schedules assigned work for completion within the project strict deadlinesand budgets.
Reportstatus of projects to Manager on a regular basis.
Reviewof design and construction documentation, including drawings and writtenspecifications, to ensure compliance with approved Concept designs, projectscopes, and Design Standards.
Keepaccurate record of the progress of the work, and keep an up-to-date file on allpertinent information relative to the project(s), including revisionsomissions, scope change data, time, etc.
AssistManager with the preparation of final deliverables, ensuring the quality of thefinal output and seek feedback post initiative.
Coordinatesreview/approvals with participation from appropriate disciplines such asProcurement, Global Operations, and Brand teams.
Workcreatively, collaboratively and align with work teams both within and outsideof Global Design to create and bring to life guest-centric environments.
Followtrends both in and out of the hospitality industry so as to add insight ondesign work.
Provideconceptual design studies, share ideas, sketches and criteria programs oninitiatives.
Solvemoderate to complex design problems using a number of approaches andtechniques.
Maintainproject data and files for continually evolving design concepts as they applyto pipeline projects.
Coordinatedistribution of related project documents and information.
Supportthe design initiative work with research to identify opportunities in designdirection of a project.
Assistin the support of managing outside resources such as consultants, suppliers andmanufacturers.
Giveswork direction to junior staff and/or work independently requiring limitedsupervision.
Doesn'tmind challenging the status quo, explores new territories, and is resourceful
Knowledgeabout innovation and trends both in and outside of industry with ability toconnect the dots to influence innovative outcomes
Strongbusiness acumen, problem solving & creative solution skills
Strongorganizational, project management skills and verbal presentation skills
Capacityto build and maintain strong working relationships and collaborate with adiverse team
Ability to speak up and share ideas, and listenwith curiosity
Goodarchitectural and interior design skills and has the ability to read andinterpret architectural and interior design drawings as well as make selectionsof materials and finishes for a project
Gooddrawing and sketching skills as well as a keen eye for graphic design to beable to articulate ideas visually
Ableto draw and model design concepts and is proficient in using digital designtools like SketchUp, AutoCAD, REVIT, InDesign, Bluebeam, 3D modelling programsand PowerPoint and/or Keynote, etc.
4-yeardegree in Architecture or related design discipline preferred
Minimum4 years experience in architecture or interior design at a design firm forlarge commercial, retail or hospitality projects.
Anequivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
