Senior Demand Planner - REF Rn-24

Responsibilities:

Collaborative development of product forecasts for assigned products for mid- and long-term planning; Assess, interpret, and analyze the data in development of a demand forecast for use in production requirements and financial planning. Key accountabilities include:

Ensure informed, data-based decisions. Ensure achievement of Brand and Supply objectives and attain MAE & Bias targets forecast accurately. Ensure business objectives are met.

Primary responsibilities include: Track and report KPIs with corrective action plan. Develop forecasting models.

Assess and monitor trends and changes, to include expanding data sources and integrating available data. Work cross-functionally to develop consensus forecasts for new and existing products. Manage the SKU shipment forecast development.

Lead planning meeting. Develop functional skills in others on the team Core Functional Competencies. Data Management, Analytics, and Reporting:

Use tools to prepare accurate data and generate reports that meet information needs and enable decision making Department Technology and Systems: Understand and can effectively use department technology and systems to perform work. Process Improvement:

Use a systematic approach to close process or system performance gaps through streamlining and cycle time reduction. Product Knowledge

• Operations: Possess detailed knowledge of Yamaha's products and services.
  
  Supply Chain Basics and Planning: Determine a course of action to achieve supply chain goals, including planning, sourcing, making, delivering; understand and be able to work with demand network- customer profile; seasonality etc. Supply Chain Synchronization

• FIT, Import/Export, Logistics: Balance supply with demand, considering both lead time and demand variability created by supply patterns not matching demand patterns.

Qualifications:

THIS POSITION REQUIRES A BACHELOR'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN INFORMATION SYSTEMS, SUPPLY CHAIN, LOGISTICS, OR IN A DISCIPLINE CLOSELY RELATED TO SUPPLY CHAIN PLUS 5 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN DATA ANALYSIS ROLES, INCLUDING FORECASTING & STATISTICAL MODELING, OR IN A CLOSELY RELATED OCCUPATION.

IN THE ALTERNATIVE, THE EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT NO DEGREE, WITH 7 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN DATA ANALYSIS ROLES, INCLUDING FORECASTING, INVENTORY, DEMAND PLANNING, AND STATISTICAL MODELING, OR IN A CLOSELY RELATED OCCUPATION.

Special Requirements: REQUIRED SKILLS: EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Forecasting, inventory, and demand planning.

• Forecast modelling software and ERP systems.

• Microsoft Office including Excel, Macro, VBA, and PowerPoint.

• Working within a cross-functional, matrixed environment.

• Statistical models, forecasting tools, Item Master, BOM creation and maintenance.

• Analytics Tools.
