Why this role matters

We are currently looking for a Senior Deal Desk Analyst (based in San Francisco, NYC, or Holmdel, NJ) who will provide direct support & guidance to the Sales Teams in all commercial aspects of deals with existing and prospective customers, including pricing quotations. You will also be responsible for bringing together Sales, Marketing, Operational managers, Product managers, Finance and Legal team members to develop and execute Vonage's pricing strategy, and facilitate the on-boarding process of customers.

Your contribution will be essential to win deals, increase Vonage market share and grow the revenue stream.


What you will do

  • Work with Sales Teams in building price quotes for customers, including our largest and most strategic accounts

  • Actively collaborate with Operations entities, Finance, Legal, Product teams to optimise the on-boarding process of customers

  • Provide analysis around trends in customer requests and pricing. Take action on trends revealed, driving changes in pricing and costs

  • Streamline and improve business practices, including tools, templates and processes, to increase the efficiency of the Deal Desk

  • Train and advise Sales and any other stakeholders on pricing, quoting, on-boarding process and best practices

  • Define and manage projects to deliver further operational efficiencies

What's required to apply

  • Bachelor's degree required; Business, Economics, Math or Engineering undergrad majors preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a rapidly changing, deadline-based position involving daily interaction with multiple levels of management and peers

What You'll Do * Provide business insight, pricing and product knowledge, as well as analytical support to Sales, including customer interaction, for large, complex, non-standard transactions. * Nurture and sustain strong partnerships with pivotal business partners (e/g Finance, Legal, Support, etc.) to help expedite the review and approval process. * Understand the start-to-end processes to help facilitate all aspects of the role such as contract negotiations, contract signatures, order processing, and SFDC data management. * Build and review a variety of order forms with differing levels of complexity for accuracy, while ensuring all required approvals, such as discounts and contractual terms, are obtained and clearly documented as well as being fully compliant with New Relic's internal policies. * Deliver ongoing education and training to ensure Sales' understanding of and compliance with non-standard deal processes. * Plan and coordinate all necessary training documents and presentation for new sales hires. * Safeguard and manage data quality in SFDC for all proposed and closed quotes/deals. Your Qualifications * 3+ years experience (in a high-tech environment, in a Deal Desk/Operations role). * Demonstrated capability to build strong working relationships with internal business units. * Ability to work without supervision in fast-paced high tech environment. * Experience of data analysis, modelling and/or financial analysis. * Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. * Bachelor Degree in Business or a similar discipline required. * Experience with Zuora and SalesForce CPQ required.
