Description:

The Senior Outbound Operations Manager oversees daily planning, directing, and coordinating of Picking, Shipping, and Parcel fulfillment at the Arhaus Boston Heights, OH Distribution Center. This includes managing Warehouse Equipment Operators, Outbound Loaders, and UPS teams. Responsibilities include improving performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability through effective strategies. The role involves P&L oversight, including payroll and expenses, and maintaining reports, policies, and records. Additionally, the manager handles staff planning and performance management, including training and equipment certification.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Key fundamental skill sets for this role will be:

• Meet KPIs and customer service levels based on daily/monthly forecasts.

• Create and execute shift plans, coordinating with other areas to support business goals.

• Foster a positive work environment focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

• Understand department processes and functions; implement changes for continuous improvement.

• Maintain effective relationships with internal partners (Sourcing, Buying, Inventory, Transportation, Planning).

• Recommend equipment needs and repairs; maintain safety records.

• Maintain inventory accuracy of 97% or higher.

• Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization.

• Implement business plans by managing staffing, scheduling, and workloads to achieve facility goals.

• Address associate and supplier concerns, recommending corrective actions.

• Monitor productivity by analyzing business reports.

• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards through training and monitoring.

• Supervise and develop associates by assigning duties, providing feedback, and identifying training needs.Troubleshoot systems applications with IT and vendors.

• Support the development of current and future systems applications.

• Provide leadership and operational expertise; guide action plans to meet customer and business needs.

• Implement business solutions by building relationships, identifying needs, and monitoring progress.

• Model compliance with company policies, mission, values, and ethics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Operations)

• Experience managing managers and supervisors

• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and lead multiple teams in a Manufacturing and/or Distribution environment.

• Proven team development and growth experience

• Lean experience in a distribution environment

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Knowledge of warehousing and distribution processes; furniture industry experience a plus

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (preferably Manhattan Associates).

• Communicates clearly with all levels of staff and management, building effective relationships.
