Job Overview & Responsibilities

Mythics is seeking a Senior Database Administrator with a strong background in Oracle database and infrastructure solutions including Oracle DB, SuperCluster, Exalytics, Real Application Cluster (RAC), and other related skills and technologies essential in managing a RDBMS, OLTP and data warehouses.

The Senior DBA shall be responsible for all aspects of database administration including:

  • Provides Oracle system administration services

  • Providing hardware and software expertise in an enterprise production and development environments to ensure that the systems operate accurately and efficiently in response to user requirements

  • Performing database migration, upgrades, patches, tuning, backup and recovery

  • Design, maintenance, enhancement, coding, and administration of relational databases

  • Analysis of information needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities

  • Review of business requests for data and data usage, researches data sources for new and better data feeds

  • Enhancing performance and providing increased functionality, including performing proactive maintenance such as ensuring continued space availability, monitoring activity, and documenting problems, changes, and solutions

  • Performing threshold forecasting, sizing, capacity planning, data loading and trend analysis


  • Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience and a B.S. degree. Bachelor of Science (BS) can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience

  • 5+ years experience with Oracle systems both working and leading

  • Oracle RAC, DataGuard, Exadata, Exalytics, OEM

  • Patching, Migrations, Updgrades

  • US Citizen to obtain the necessary clearance

Preferred Requirement

  • Design and review relational databases. Performs data access analysis design, and archive/recovery design and implementation.

  • Development of strategies for data migrations, archive recovery, and implementation of a database normal maintanence.

  • Reviewing software releases for database impact

The Senior HUMINT Collector will perform the following duties:<br /> <br /> <strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Refine/improve and conduct NEIC IET live and constructive training and assessment; and develop, execute and assess live and constructive training exercise scenarios sufficient for NEIC units to achieve Major Combat Operations (MCO) – certification.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Develop live and constructive training exercise scenarios and all requirements supporting materials, background information and documents that support IET training and certification assessment during participation in NEIC exercises.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Identify training event drills required of IETs to accomplish their primary assigned missions through an analysis of Government Furnished Information (GFI), to include but not limited to, Navy Mission Essential Task List (NMETL) tasks, conditions and standards anticipated in MCOs and through a review of NEIC’s Required Operational Capabilities/Projected Operating Environment (ROC/POE).</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Identify assessment criteria that accurately replicate the HUMINT, MIO/VBSS, and personal protection skills required of IETs in MCOs.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Develop and update a quality control plan in order to track instructor proficiency. The plan should detail the methodology to be used by the contractor to monitor and ensure that all qualifications and certifications remain current.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Instruct, mentor and assess IETs.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Conduct Train the Trainer courses of instruction for individuals and teams on select HUMINT capabilities and/or technology.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Develop and ensure a library of Event Drill Guides, Training Scenario Packages, and Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) for assessment events are updated.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Develop and update HUMINT reference tools, for example, Job Qualification Requirements (JQR) and Users Guides.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Coordinate with multiple organizations and commands to schedule and reserve training venues consisting of ranges, buildings and vessels for training exercises and events.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Assist the N7 Training Officer in identifying required resources to execute training and assessment events. Required resources include, but are not limited to, props, role players, rental vehicles, and equipment within NEIC’s Table of Allowance (TOA).</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Ensure lessons learned and best practices from previous exercises and operational employment, and appropriate service and joint units, are implemented into IET training and exercises.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Plan and implement Operational Risk Management (ORM) into assessment events.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Assist in evaluating NMETL proficiency during Operational Fleet Response Plan (OFRP) events. These events include, but are not limited to, Unit Level Training (ULT), Unit Level Training and Readiness Assessment (ULTRA) and Final Evaluation Problem (FEP).</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Utilizing expertise, assist NEIC Command Training Team members by acting as role players prior to and during the execution of exercise events.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Assist the NEIC Training Officer by participating in the execution of NEIC training and assessment during the planning, briefing, executing, and debriefing phases of exercise.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Mentor IETs throughout the 12-month training and assessment cycle through application of experience in HUMINT.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Review, assist and mentor IET preparation of exercise documents such as Concept of Operations, Operations Orders, etc.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Develop and conduct live and constructive Exercise Control (EXCON) for NEIC controlled exercises in which IETs are participating. For each exercise, EXCON must be sufficiently detailed and comprehensive to enable IETs to exercise all Navy Mission Essential Tasks (NMETs), and for NEIC to assess each IET NMET.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Develop, update and conduct live (practical and/or force on force) and constructive (virtual and/or one on one) White and/or Red Cell operations for exercises conducted in support of IET certification. For each exercise, White and/or Red Cell actions must be sufficiently detailed and comprehensive to enable IETs to exercise all NMETs, and for NEIC to assess each IET NMET.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Monitor, assess and provide to the NEIC Training Officer recommendations for OFRP events improvement.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Monitor and implement training related corrective actions for OFRP event lessons learned and after-action report (AAR) discrepancies.</li> </ul> <strong>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE</strong> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Minimum of seven (7) years of HUMINT collection experience.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Minimum of a U.S. Government Military Source Operations (MSO) category II certification or higher.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Four (4) + years of PM related experience a plus.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Graduation from the Marine Air Ground Task Force Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence (MAGTF CI/HUMINT) course preferred in order to assist the NEIC Training Officer in matters related to the training and assessment of IETs and the core capabilities of HUMINT and intelligence analysis.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">High School Diploma—Bachelor’s degree preferred.</li> </ul> <strong>CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES </strong><br /> <em>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</em> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Recent knowledge within the last five (5) years of relevant HUMINT operations is required.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Detailed knowledge of Department of Defense and U.S. Navy regulations regarding intelligence and tactical EW/SIGINT operations, to include cyber operations, along with a working knowledge of training administration in order to conduct basic research, gather required reference material, develop initial draft documents, develop initial draft documents, support staffing with all stake-holders, and edit to a final document for multiple intelligence focused exercises.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Expert skill & knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client relationship skills relevant to work in a military setting with junior Sailors, senior commissioned and staff non-commissioned officers and U.S. Government civilians.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to use military brevity.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills in support of rapidly changing scheduling and staffing.</li> </ul> <strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.</li> </ul> <strong>SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS</strong> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Must have a current Top Secret/SCI security clearance.</li> </ul> Corps Solutions Virginia Beach VA
