Senior Database Architect (S4 Hana, Oracle, Thoughtspot)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Architect to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and secure management of our database systems, including S4 HANA, Oracle Database, and ThoughtSpot platform. The ideal candidate will design and optimize database architecture, manage implementations, and ensure compliance with security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Design & Architecture: Design database architecture, including data models, tables, and indexes to meet business requirements.
• Implementation Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and integration of databases with other systems.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and fine-tune database configurations to ensure optimal performance.
• Security & Compliance: Implement access controls, encryption, and data masking techniques to protect sensitive information.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as backup and recovery, and apply patches and upgrades.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with developers, data analysts, and infrastructure teams to address database-related requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architecture, configurations, and processes.
• Reporting & Analysis: Support report creation and analysis using ThoughtSpot functionalities to generate insightful data visualizations.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in S4 HANA.
• Progress Reporting: Present progress reports and offer solutions to address feedback or schedule risks.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen or Green Card Holder.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in SAP HANA or S4 HANA preferred but not required.
• Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in database concepts, data modeling, and database management systems (SAP HANA and S4 HANA).
  • Knowledge of architecture, administration, data provisioning, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in designing and optimizing database structures.
  • Experience in data migration from legacy systems to S4 HANA.
  • Adherence to database security principles and compliance requirements (ITAR/EAR/DFAR).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting database-related issues and performing regular maintenance tasks.
