Job Description:

NetCentrics provides the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies with leading IT services including IT Strategy, mission applications, infrastructure and platform services, cloud solutions, service delivery and cybersecurity.

NetCentrics is looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to support our team in Washington, D.C. This position is open to candidates who have a TS/SCI Clearance.

Specific duties include:

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the Cyber Action Team (CAT) database server

  • Write queries to extract information from data stored in the SQL database

  • Work with the analysis teams to leverage the database and automate functions of their jobs using scripts and small applets

  • Address datacalls across the enterprise or leadership to gather data regarding vulnerable assets and trending across the enterprise.

  • Correlate datacall information against reports and dashboards in systems such as ACAS, HBSS and SCCM.

  • Normalize tracking spreadsheets and reports to assure data consistency and accuracy.

  • Update tracking and briefing documentation.

  • Identify and report gaps in existing procedures and processes and provide recommendations for improvements.

  • Use pivot tables to work with large datasets and provide actionable information to decision makers.


  • Knowledge of DoD and DHS policy and procedures

  • Experienced in creating reports and documentation

  • Clearance: TS/SCI clearance

  • Certifications: Security+ CE (IAT II)

  • Years of Experience:

  • At least 2 years' experience within the DoD or DHS customer set as a SQL database administrator and/or data analyst

  • At least 2 years' experience with network security practices with combined experience in system administration

  • As a contingency to employment at NetCentrics, all candidates who are given offers must successfully pass a full background investigation including criminal history, education and employment verifications.


  • Experience as an ISSO or ISSM.

  • Familiarity with cyber tools such as ACAS, HBSS and SCCM.

Senior Database Developer Perspecta has an immediate need for a Senior Database Developer - in Washington, DC. * Under general direction, provides highly technical expertise and guidance in the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of database management systems (DBMS). * Design, implement and maintain complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation and statistical methods * Evaluate and recommend available DBMS products after matching requirements with system capabilities. * Define required database administration policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. * Prepare and deliver presentations on DBMS concepts. * Perform all functional duties independently. * Work on high-visibility programs or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s). * Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Required: A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline is preferred. * A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in software development, database design/development and/or related field. * Ability to perform all functional duties independently, on high-visibility programs or mission critical aspects of a given program. * Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. * Experience in training/mentoring less experienced personnel. * Extensive knowledge of and experience with designing, implementing, operating and administering relational DBMSs. * Development/support experience with more than one DBMS product (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server). * Strong knowledge of/ experience with DBMS Job Control Language (JCL), access methods, performance tuning, device allocation, validation checks, organization, security, documentation and statistical methods. * Ability to recommend the most appropriate DBMS product after evaluating a set of system requirements, without assistance. * Extensive experience producing database-related documentation such as administration policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. * Excellent communication skills.
