U.S. Bank is seeking a talented, cloud-centric Senior Greenplum Database Administrator with data security and disaster recovery experience to join our team. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manages physical databases on specific database technologies.

  • Designs and implements back-up, recovery, archiving, and conversion strategies.

  • Manages and maintains data definitions in all production and non-production databases and replication servers.

  • Manages database distribution, security, and access requirements.

  • Designs and develops logical and physical layers of databases. Handles testing, reporting, back-up, and restores.

  • Provides technical assistance and mentoring to staff for developing conceptual and logical database design and the physical database.

  • Recommends, installs, and maintains Greenplum database software (Database support conducted in Azure cloud environments).

  • Monitors performance and performs database training and assists application developers with train tuning efforts.

  • Participate in DevOps activities which include job automation and process enhancements

  • Interface will internal systems owners and participate in agile stands and scrums as needed.

  • Write bash shell and python scripts to support DBA tasks.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 6 years experience with tools, facilities and techniques for managing and administering data.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Candidate should have high functioning knowledge of Linux

  • 5 years of recent hands on DevOps/Support with Greenplum database

  • 3 years of recent hands on DevOps/Support experienced with AWS/Azure/Google

  • Candidate should have high functioning knowledge of Linux

Working experience in:

  • GreenPlum database

  • Unix

  • Product and vendor evaluation

Extensive experience in:

  • Data administration

  • Technical troubleshooting

  • IT environment

  • Query and database access tools

  • Database backup and migration

POSITION SUMMARY: The Active Directory Administrator's role is to install, administer, and optimize company servers and related components to achieve high performance of the various business applications supported by tuning the servers as necessary. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring all new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role will work closely with the server infrastructure, IT cohorts and the Manager, Hosting and Storage Tower to provide superior IT support services to Dover Corporation and its subsidiaries. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Support all server related high priority incidents, incidents and service requests as assigned in ITSM ticketing system. * Managment of the Active Directory infrastructure (DC, DNS, FSMO, NTDS, etc.). * Management of Active Directory Objects (OUs, users, groups, computers, etc.). * Group Policy Object (GPO) creation, management and troubleshooting. * ADFS managment and troubleshooting. * Monitor and reporting on the reliability and security of the domain. * Act as project resource in the design and review of AD; conduct capacity planning as needed. * Coordinate and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the AD environment. * Coordinate and collaborate with network engineering, business application, and database administration function to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of corporate servers to meet business demands. * Perform file system configuration and management; define and perform server backups and recovery procedures. * Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports. * Manage enterprise directory services and supporting server infrastructure. * Provide guidance to junior members of the team. * Adhere to policies, procedures and best practices defined and governed by the Hosting and Storage functional tower. * Collaborate with the functional towers for incident escalation, resolution and problem management. * Other duties as assigned.
