The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a Senior Data Steward.

Job Summary

The Senior Data Steward role is accountable for creating, maintaining, and monitoring master data both at the enterprise and plant levels, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure master data milestone dates are met, and develop master data business standards, metrics, and processes. Ensures data is compliant with defined standards, policies and quality requirements and validates and measures data quality, integrity, accuracy, and consistency in the systems, while monitoring and resolving interface issues.

Responsible for providing input to project teams (business and technical) as it relates to master data management and governance. Demonstrates insight necessary to suggest improvements and attempts to address issues prior to seeking guidance from senior staff members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates in depth conceptual and practical knowledge in data management, data governance, and project management, and basic knowledge of related areas such as business intelligence, manufacturing and/or materials management, and customer-focused relationships.

  • Impacts managing data with confidence, while planning and prioritizing their projects and the work of others within Analytics and Business Intelligence support systems, materials and/or manufacturing.

  • Solves complex problems involving data requirements, architecture, and strategy decisions and enacts a new perspective on existing solutions. Works independently and receives minimal guidance.

  • Acts as a resource for master data, systems, and best practices for team members with less experience. Responsible for ongoing activities and objectives, and may lead projects or steps within a broader project.

  • Communicates difficult or sensitive information and builds relationships with subject matter experts and stakeholders to meet organizational goals and deadlines

  • Ability to apply knowledge of best practices in master data, systems and interfaces related to Analytics and Business Intelligence infrastructure, product development, materials management and manufacturing processes

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and/or lead a group or team providing guidance to members

  • Travel required up to 10%
