A Day In The Life As a Senior Data Scientist at The Friedkin Group, you will lead the design, deployment, and enhancement of cutting-edge data science initiatives across various business units. This role focuses on transforming innovative concepts into practical solutions using advanced analytical techniques like machine learning, optimization, and cluster analysis.

You will also guide and develop a newly-formed data science task force to integrate impactful analytical solutions into our operations, fostering a data-driven culture for enhanced decision-making and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Translate business needs into analytics and reporting requirements, supporting informed, data-driven decisions.

Stay updated on the latest data science trends and technologies while exploring innovative approaches to enhance analysis and modeling capabilities. Effectively communicate complex data insights to diverse stakeholders, including non-technical audiences, championing data-driven decision-making. Lead day-to-day management of use case design, providing guidance to teams as they develop and implement data science models and algorithms.

Ensure that analytical insights and products are fully integrated into business processes. Oversee maintenance and improvement of analytical models post-launch. Guide analytics and modeling approaches, ensuring quality and standards are met with input from teams and leadership.

Contribute to the long-term strategy for TFG's Data Science team, including focus areas and talent acquisition. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, spearheading the exploration of new data science technologies. Collaborate with a wide range of business and technical stakeholders to identify and communicate new technologies that can deliver measurable business value.

Own the analytics solution portfolio, ensuring ongoing model maintenance and enhancement. Supervise team members effectively, helping them build skills and advance their careers. Carry out responsibilities following organizational policies and applicable laws.

Demonstrate leadership in managing data science projects, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes. Recruit and nurture a skilled data science team, addressing talent gaps as needed. What We Need From You:

A Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in data science or a similar role. Proficiency in at least one analytical programming language such as Python (preferred) or R, with familiarity in machine learning libraries, data processing, and visualization tools like SQL, Tableau, or Power BI. Expertise in advanced analytical techniques including statistical analysis, machine learning, and optimization.

Experience with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Data/ML platforms (e.g., Databricks, Spark). Strong comprehension of the machine learning lifecycle including feature engineering, training, validation, and deployment. Experience in both supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods. Understanding of programming best practices and deployment strategies.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in executing complex data projects. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical insights into actionable business strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate or AWS Certified Machine Learning are preferred. Travel Requirements:

Minimal travel is expected for this role, up to 20% domestically.
