Siemens Financial Services (SFS, Inc) Commercial Finance Americas is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of data-driven innovation. We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology, data analytics, and process mining to drive informed decision-making and revolutionize our industry. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and innovative Data Scientist to join our dynamic Reporting and Data Analytics team and be at the forefront of driving innovation through data and process optimization. You need a strong background in statistics, mathematics, and computer science, as well as experience working in the financial services industry.

We are looking for Senior Data Scientist with Financial Services background with the position located in Malvern, PA.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Analyze and explore complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that can drive business decisions and fuel innovation.

  • Machine Learning: Develop and implement machine learning models for various predictive and prescriptive analytics tasks, such as customer segmentation, forecasting, and recommendation systems, driving innovation in our approaches.

  • Statistical Modeling: Apply statistical techniques to understand and quantify the impact of different variables on business outcomes and conduct hypothesis testing, contributing to innovative solutions.

  • Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Prepare data for analysis by cleaning, transforming, and structuring it to ensure its quality and relevance, enabling innovative insights.

  • Data Visualization: Create clear and informative data visualizations to communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, promoting innovative data-driven decision-making.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and business analysts, to ensure the successful implementation of data-driven solutions that drive innovation across the organization.

  • Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning and apply relevant research to improve our data-driven strategies, fostering an environment of continuous innovation.

Requirements are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering.

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist/Data Analyst.

  • 4+ years of experience in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R.

  • Experience in working with Snowflake or Azure Synapse or AWS Redshift cloud data warehouse.

  • Experience with financial data visualization tools such as Knime, Tableau or Power BI.

  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, data and process mining, and machine learning techniques.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • The pay range for this position is $108,600 - $186,600 with an incentive bonus structure. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
