Scope and Purpose

Intesa Sanpaolo is looking for a Senior Data Metrics for the Compliance Retail e Corporate Banking office in New York.

  • Partner with Compliance BSA/AMLOFAC Analysts and Investigators to understand their workflow and to utilize their feedback, where appropriate, to strengthen the quality of work products.

  • Partner with Business Line ("BL") and local technology and compliance to fully understand Branch product offerings, compliance functions, and where the compliance personnel can provide value in terms of risk coverage and mitigation.

  • Liaise with Branch IT department regarding vendor selection and system maintenance and routine testing.

  • Coordinate, support, and lead User Acceptance Testing ("UAT") testing on behalf of Compliance.

  • Identify data issues and assist in tracking the resolution.

  • Lead the development of professional program/reporting documentation in support of AML Transaction Monitoring, OFAC filtering and related reporting.

  • Prepare documentation and metrics and generate periodic reporting to US regulators and the Bank's Board of Directors, including relevant committees. Timely response to ad hoc data requests and reporting.

  • Assist the BSA/AML/OFAC Risk Assessment Manager to obtain the necessary data for use in the BSA/AML and OFAC (sanctions) Risk Assessments

Required Experience

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in an applicable risk management environment; specifically, 2 or more years of relevant experience in BSA/AML or OFAC/ sanctions regulatory compliance; At least 7 years overall performing analytical work.

  • Experience in people management

Competencies Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant disciplines such as Information Systems and/or Computer Science.

  • Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or other quantitatively-rigorous discipline, a plus.

  • Applicable professional certifications a plus.

  • Knowledge of, and experience supporting BSA/AML initiatives, including Sanctions (OFAC) Screening preferred.

  • Working knowledge of relevant BSA/AML and Sanctions (OFAC) business systems such as Actimize, Detica, Norcom, Fircosoft, Mantas and/or GIFTS.

  • Ability to evaluate compliance systems issues and determine process for resolution.

  • Knowledge of banking products, policies, operations and applicable procedures.

  • Knowledge of/or exposure to federal, state and local BSA/AML and OFAC laws and regulations.

  • Strong documentation skills.

  • Strong organization, analytical and project management skills.

  • Strong planning, implementation and negotiation skills.

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Professional presentation skills for audiences including, but not limited to, senior leadership, regulatory and business partners.

  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with high level direction from leadership.

  • Excellent communication (both written and oral) skills.

  • Ability to update manuals, policies, or procedures, as necessary, to further implementation of Compliance related systems.

  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, Visio, Teradata/Oracle SQL and SAS.

  • Ability to document business requirements, conduct testing, problem solve, ensure quality, and make process improvements.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.


  • Ability to facilitate meetings and key conversations, documenting meetings and action items for publication and tracking, driving actions and initiatives on behalf of Compliance Team.
