About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking Senior Data Management Analyst in Data Management and Insights (DMI) organization within the Enterprise Data Management. Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Management Analyst for the Reporting, Testing, Innovation and Monitoring (RTIM) team within Enterprise Data Management (EDM). The RTIM team is responsible for performing reporting, executing regulatory data testing, and leading innovative ideas to improve the efficiency of all EDM functions. This Senior Data Management Analyst role will work closely with RTIM leadership to help drive the maturation of the continuous improvement function within Enterprise Data Management.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex programs and initiatives for data quality, governance, and metadata activities

  • Design and conduct moderately complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality, data integrity, process, and control gaps

  • Analyze, assess, and test data controls and data systems to ensure quality and risk compliance standards are met and adhere to data governance standards and procedures

  • Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality

  • Develop recommendations for optimal approaches to resolve data quality issues and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources leveraging domain expertise and data, business, or process analysis to inform and support solution design

  • Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members

  • Drive planning and coordination on moderately complex remediation efforts acting as central point of contact

  • Consult with clients to assess the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility

  • Participate in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies

  • Provide input into communication routines with stakeholders, business partners, and experienced leaders

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 2+ years of process improvement experience
  • 2+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience or a combination of both
  • 2+ years of experience presenting information to senior leaders
  • 2+ years of consultative business analysis experience
  • 1 + years of risk identification and documentation experience
  • 1+ years of risk and finance regulatory reporting experience
  • 1+ years of operational risk, conduct risk or compliance domain experience
  • 1+ year of financial industry experience
  • 1+ year of compliance and controls testing experience
  • 1+ year of experience in data management related areas such as metadata or lineage, data governance or data quality
  • 1+ years of experience creating executive level dashboards, analytics, and reports using advanced visualization tools

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage process improvement initiatives to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiencies

  • Ability to research, analyze, document, and present organizational metrics that drive business decisions

  • Knowledge and understanding of analytical methods used to: measure and communicate key performance metrics (KPIs)

  • Provide input into communication routines with stakeholders, business partners, and experienced leaders

  • Knowledge of Power BI
