The Senior Data Intelligence Analyst is leading the data analytics effort to provide timely, accurate and informative sales and market information used to assist management in making business decisions. This role is proficient in advanced statistical methods and/or optimization techniques, data mining and simulation. This position supports the sales leaders in Motors and Generators local sales unit in US. Scope includes but not limited to sales forecast, sales history trend analysis, forecast vs. budget, sales commission reporting, ATLAS reporting improvement, point of sales reporting to improve ATLAS report.

Tasks:

Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports for the local sales organization.

Reporting needs includes but not limited to sales commission, sales history trend, opportunity linking to order management.

Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

Work in collaboration with external data providers such as customers, distributor data warehouse to support channel operation needs

Obtain market related data for the purpose of developing strategic analysis

Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs

Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Communicate results and provide suggestions to sales management and end users

Collaborate with global division, BU process owner to implement future strategic roadmap into local sales organization

Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED AND 9 years of experience in data analytics

OR

Associates degree AND 7 years of experience in data analytics.

OR

Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years of experience in data analytics

  • A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
  • A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Engineer / Information Systems / Business Administration
5+ years of experience in driving business requirement gathering to provide effective data analytics to sales leaders
5+ years of experience with BI and PowerBI development or implementation

Strong process knowledge in sales and marketing

Strong knowledge in SAP data structure, tables and fields

Strong analytical skills

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

This position is an important member of the Reporting Center of Excellence and will support internal reporting needs.
