The Senior Data Governance Analyst specializes in managing the information flow for the bank, including the integrity, efficiency and availability of data. The data governance analyst is responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing data standards

  • Guaranteeing metadata is captured correctly

  • Monthly maintenance of Collibra process and enhancements as required

  • Creating methods for monitoring and reporting of data

  • Creating and maintaining common data dictionaries, tools and methods that support data standards.

In this role you will analyze and oversee strategies designed to enhance data reliability and minimize redundancies and will work closely with information technology personnel to develop data quality standards. You will create key performance indicators and supply colleagues and organizational management with performance results and also assist with data monitoring and providing organizational management with guidance on streamlining data management.

The Senior Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a single point of contact for interactions between the Lines of Business, Information Management and Data Governance initiatives.

  • Working directly with the Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify existing and/or document new processes and controls that support Data Governance policies and procedures; ensuring results are communicated and implemented.

  • Providing support to data stewards in fulfilling Data Governance initiatives across the enterprise.

  • Developing working relationships with the Lines of Businesses, Technology and Audit functions in order to work collaboratively to respond to strategic needs.

  • Coordinating Data Governance activities across the enterprise.

  • Supporting assigned Data Governance project activities to ensure tasks are documented, appropriately assigned and the desired deliverables are implemented.


Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years of experience in a Data Governance, Data Management or Data Services role

  • 3 years acting as a business analyst, defining business requirements and data requirements

  • Extensive knowledge with Data Governance Platforms (e.g. Collibra, ASG Rochade, Talend, Informatica), as well as ETL, Data integration, and Data Architecture

  • Functional experience in Data Dictionary/Data Glossary implementation, data requirements capture and implementing technical data lineage

  • Understanding of implementing data governance policies, procedures and controls. Including, participation in audit and RCSA activities and monitor outcomes to existing risks/controls/control assessment method.

  • Excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills

  • Knowledge of banking products and operations, regulatory requirements, and key processes, controls and exposure

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other analytical field

Hours and Work Schedule:

Hours per week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday

This role requires close partnership and collaboration with multiple Project Managers, Infrastructure and Application Architects, Client Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts on large transformation program. Essential Job Duties involve driving large Data Center, Cloud & Infrastructure Transformation program. The Program Manager needs to bring in best practices and collaborate with the Project Management, Architecture and Application teams to create the Program Plan and accomplish the target state of the transformation in best possible manner and time. Required Qualifications: * Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Johnston, RI location and be willing to relocate to the area in the near future. * Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. * U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time. * At least 10 years of Information Technology experience * Experience in directing and driving multiple large Data Center, Private Cloud or Infrastructure Transformation programs * Experience in end to end Program and Project Planning, execution including experience in Data center or cloud transformation projects and programs. * Developing, measuring and reporting on success of the program * Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners * Monitors program results against technical specifications. * Achieve results through others by setting and communicating goals and metrics, monitoring progress; providing ongoing coaching and feedback, and reinforcing behaviors that drive high performance * Knowledge and preferably working experience of other Cloud services, Private Clouds * Have completed end to end data center , Infrastructure transformation in at least 4-5 engagements Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment Preferred Qualifications: * Program Initiation and Planning: Create integrated program plan covering multiple work streams / projects including aspects such as cost, schedule, program scope, requirements, risk, quality, communication & stakeholder management, effort estimation, resource planning, measurement criteria or metrics for every work stream and consolidate the same to arrive at the final estimate for the project. * Leverage the MSA structure to review the SOWs / work orders to understand the commitment / expectations * Program Governance: Identify the stakeholders, Review the subprogram governance with the concerned client Program Managers * Reviews: Conduct program reviews with relevant stakeholders to identify / manage issues & risks and ensure smooth delivery provide delivery governance and resolve escalated project issues affecting the program. * Provide support and guidance on the individual projects to Project Managers and facilitate seamless integration of various pieces in the overall Program * Risk Management: Identify risks at the beginning in partnership with Project Manager. * Review issues and risks for each of the project(s) with appropriate client stakeholders, as per the risk management governance. The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
