The Role:

As a Sr. Data Engineer at Caserta, you will work in teams to deliver innovative solutions on Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Cloud using core cloud data warehouse tools like Spark, Event Stream platforms, and other Big Data related technologies. In addition to building the next generation of data platforms, you will be working with some of the most forward-thinking organizations in data and analytics


  • Lead a team to develop Cloud enabled Data and Analytics solutions
  • Drive the development of cloud based and hybrid data warehouses & business intelligence platforms
  • Build Data Pipelines to ingest structured and unstructured Data.
  • Gain hands-on experience with new data platforms and programming languages
  • Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing
  • Hands-on experience with leading commercial Cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google
  • Experience leading data warehousing, data ingestion, and data profiling activities
  • Advanced SQL & Python skills
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and analytics techniques
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Understanding of agile project approaches and methodologies
  • Experience working with Business Stakeholders to elicit business requirements
  • Experience building and migrating complex ETL pipelines
  • Familiarity with or strong desire to learn quantitative analysis techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, machine learning, segmentation, optimization, clustering, regression)
  • Bachelors degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science or a closely related field required

Orum’s flagship product, Foresight is currently available via Private Beta.</p><p>As one of the early hires on the engineering team, you will also help create the engineering culture and values at Orum. This might be explicit through establishment of team practices, but also through participation in the hiring process of future colleagues. We pride ourselves on diversity and creating an inclusive workplace that provides equal opportunities to all persons.<br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.</li> <li>Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.</li> <li>Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.</li> <li>Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.</li> <li>Familiarity with stream-processing systems and big data tools: AWS Steps, AWS Glue, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.</li> <li>Able to build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.</li> <li>Experience identifying and implementing internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.</li> <li>Experience working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, and Data Science teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.</li> <li>Maintaining data segregated and secured across multiple accounts and environments</li> <li>Experience working with multiple teams across data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>This is a unique, exciting opportunity to help build technology from the ground up.
