Duties & Responsibilities:
Expert in data analysis, design, deployment and management of customer's data.
Responsible for defining how the organizations structured and unstructured data will be stored, consumed, integrated/shared and analyzed.
Develop software and scripts to provide analytics that address prioritized and documented customers use case needs, pain points, and questions.
Leverage techniques from data mining, statistics, modeling, and machine learning to analyze data - these include data sampling, generalization, characterization, classification, clustering, association, evolution, pattern matching, and visualization.
Develop analytical approaches to address stakeholder business questions; identify assumptions and hypothesis inherent in the analytical approaches; and validate or refute assumptions and hypotheses through testing using statistical models.
Create data visualizations using business intelligence solutions and other platform components based on provided use cases and analytical approaches validated by statistical testing.
Create, maintain, and reverse engineer data models that enable understanding and documentation of data standards, metadata and entity & domain relationships and the flow of data across business applications.
Working with business and IT teams, develop and maintain mappings/rules between business applications & business data and interfaces.
Document & Manage data standards, semantic layer mapping, data flows and conceptual flows.
Contribute to the design and development of visualizations and other decision products tailored to the advanced analytics in support of customers decision process; will be required to both perform analytics and communicate analytic findings and outputs to customers and stakeholders.

Other Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of data standards, data governance, data management, design patterns and best practices.
Mentor, coach and educate team members in standard processes, policies and procedures related to data governance and data analysis.
Uses technical knowledge and expertise to develop, innovate technical solutions that meet the needs of the customer.

Technical Knowledge/Skills:
Strong knowledge & skills in data analysis, data modeling, data profiling, data management of structured and unstructured data.
Ability to work in partnership with customer teams and key stakeholders to extract and document knowledge and insights from both structured and unstructured data in various formats.
Experience in creation of the data governance artifacts by documenting applicable policies and procedures for data access, codifying access rules, and documenting data attributes and access roles.
Proven skills in developing software algorithms utilizing the latest data science methodologies and practices to perform new types of data analysis.
Experience in developing the software and scripts to generate synthetic test data consistent with documented data models.
Good understanding of Master data management & data quality concepts
Knowledge and understanding of established/emerging data management technologies including and not limited to data analysis, profiling, reporting/analytics, data visualization.
iMDB & NoSQL experience not mandatory, but a plus.
Possesses advanced knowledge of industry best practices in the various aspects of information technology trends, enterprise operations knowledge and the ability to develop solutions.

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience.
Experience with advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, hypothesis tests and their proper usage, Bayesian statistics, etc.)
Experience with either Python or R.
10+ years of IT and business/industry work experience
5+ years of professional experience in Data/Information Architecture
Desired Qualifications (good to have):
Big data experience using tools such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Spark and others to perform data gathering, data cleaning, data mining, and data visualization.
Strong orientation to quantitative, data-driven analysis including some of the following skills: MS Excel expert proficiency as demonstrated by advanced use of array and nested formulas and strong pivot table use;
Experience with any of the following products:
SAS, STATA, SPSS or Matlab
Data Visualization: Tableau; Qlikview; D3, Spotfire, Oracle BI, Cognos BI
Experience in Operations Research, Decision Sciences, Game Theory, Network/Graph Analysis

Top secret SCI poly clearance is required, 5+ years of professional experience in Data/Information Architecture; Expert in data analysis, design, deployment and management
