Job Summary

The Sr. Data Analyst in Xfinity WiFi will be a key member of the team responsible for enhancing the customer experience of wireless technologies across a variety of environments and verticals. You will work with cross functional data teams to ensure Xfinity WiFi and wireless technologies (including 5G) deliver on their commitments of improving the customer experience while maximizing offload. Provide insights into network usage, patterns, and experience metrics while using your technical skill set to visualize deployment opportunities for wireless assets. The Sr. Data Analyst will also use their business acumen to prove network enhancements achieve business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience pulling data using SQL, Python, reading data from a dashboard (such as Tableau), and interpreting that data.

  • Technical skills: SQL, Tableau, Python, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Preferred: experience with GIS products (QGIS, ARCGIS, ESRI)

  • Responds constructively to new demands, priorities, or challenges.

  • Background in telecom and WiFi preferred

  • Partners with, and influences teams, brings the customer voice into the discussion, improves processes and identifies new solutions that provide value to the customer.

  • Solutions-oriented: ability to think fast and move quickly to find the right offerings that will meet customer needs.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role and team are based in our cutting-edge Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia, PA. We are in the office on a hybrid basis and can not consider candidates seeking remote employment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Uses analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data (millions to billions of records), extracting actionable insights using advanced statistical techniques such as data analysis, data mining, optimization tools and machine learning techniques and statistics (e.g., predictive models, LTV, propensity models).

  • Build customer centric models and optimization analysis in tools such as Tableau to support large scale wireless deployments that utilize online & offline data, structured & unstructured data, usage data and media/behavioral/attitudinal data.

  • Experience extracting and working with large data sets from various back-office systems via SQL and Python.  Comfortable with a variety of databases, warehouses, and AWS products. Examples: Hive, Trino, Oracle, Snowflake, S3, Minio, Databricks

  • Develop and deploy predictive models based on historical data that provide future predictions about customer behavior.

  • Map geolocation targets through tools such as GIS and QGIS based on product demand

  • Develops and executes statistical solutions to business problems. Frames problem develops roadmap and communicates intended approach to develop solution.

  • Demonstrated ability to create executive level presentations and effectively communicate to various levels across the organization.

  • Own business / technical interpretation of data trends in usage and network data.

  • Experience working with a large, distributed team at scale and delivering features with an eye towards scalability.

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo.

  • Evaluate results against expected performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Demonstrates excellent project management and communication skills, with a proven track record of successful delivery on time, in line with budget expectations and to strategy.

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships, with a focus on client delivery, collaboration and integrity.

  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
