Job Summary:
The Senior Data Analyst (SDA) contributes to and furthers the Internal Medicine departmental research strategy by managing relational databases. Effectively and efficiently initiates the implementation of high-quality data management operations. As a member of the professional research team, the SDA is responsible for planning, identifying and communicating established medical research objectives.
Major Responsibilities / Duties / Critical Tasks:

Analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Support study-specific database builds using protocol and configuration specifications.
Prepare complex data for departmental scientific papers, technical reports, visualizations, and graphics.
Analyze and process survey documentation to produce tabulated results in various report formats.
Maintain analytic documentation.
Prepare and maintain dashboards on key performance indicators.
Train and educate research team and staff on data management best practices.
Endure compliance with IT data protection regulations for handling, sharing, security, and storage.
Conduct regular audits to identity and correct data errors and inconsistencies.
Other additional and/or alternative duties as assigned.
Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Skilled in extracting and analyzing data using Structured Query Language (SQL).
Detail oriented for data accuracy.
Proficiency using analytic programming languages.
Ability to conceptualize and perform data analysis and experienced in generating custom reports.
Track record of creative problem solving, and quick response to requests for data analyses.
Excellent interpersonal skills including effective communication both verbally and in writing with management and coworkers.
Strong ability to manage projects independently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to established timelines.
Demonstrate knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines as related to data management.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required in computer science, health information management or research-related field. Master's Degree preferred.
At least five years hands-on data analyst/research experience, preferably in topics related to medical education or health care.
