NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Senior Data Analyst to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

In this position the ideal candidate will use the Tableau data visualization capability to conduct the following tasks:

Active Secret clearance Required.

Data Visualization

  • Assist in creating data visuals for various types of data. May require cleaning data and working with staff to understand requirements.

  • May be required to write Data Definition Language or Data Manipulation Language SQL commands.

  • Responsible for improving data quality and for helping to design or present conclusions gained from analyzing data using statistical tools like Microsoft Excel, SAS, SPSS, Tableau and others.

Develop Dashboards

  • Assist in the developing dashboards. Activities may include initial prototyping, optimization of data display functionality, desk side training for user personnel, initial deployment to users with 'Tableau Reader,' and other on-going support as requirements evolve.

  • Assist staff in collecting and cleaning data to conduct analyses and create dashboards. Dashboards may be on desktops or on a server environment.

  • Field 'ad hoc' requests from the user community for new dashboards or enhancements to existing dashboards.

Promote the Development of Internal Tableau Expertise

  • Provide individual instruction to Tableau users. A majority of the training will occur on-site, however, some travel may be required.

  • Conduct training sessions for a group of Tableau users.

  • Create training documents.

  • Create Data Quality reports to identify processing errors or inconsistent source data.

  • Designing and implement complex Data Quality Reports, Dashboards, and Ad-hoc Reporting.

  • Conduct analyses using client data sources to query and identify systemic issues.

  • Advise client management on time-frames to complete user requests.

Required Experience:

Active Secret clearance Required.

  • 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Tableau is required.

  • Ability to review client data sources, and perform detailed analytical and research support services.

  • Experience in responding to requests for information and searching automated systems for data.

  • Experience producing dashboard reports using stored data.

  • Ability to create and maintain Job Aids to assist end users in the Navigation of Tableau databases.

  • Familiarity with mobile applications. Experience with Tableau Mobile applications and data highly desirable.

  • Experience in the use of the Tableau Server Developer environment, and the Tableau Reader.

  • Experience/familiarity with systems, including UFMS, FIRST and FPDS-NG is desirable but not required.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field. Master's preferred.
