At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Automate, integrate, and optimize views of complex business processes, given client-specified objectives, deadlines, and milestones.

Provides analysis and design support related to the effective use and integration of business systems, including financial, accounting, human resources, and other enterprise systems.

Works with the client to define analytic needs or problems, determine the scope of efforts, define and execute data collection approaches, and plan and conduct analyses, studies, and surveys.

Supports efforts to help operations meet requirements involving productivity, use, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Performs a range of services related to the operation and use of databases, including database design, creation, query formulation, and execution tasks in support of analysis driven by integrated applications and systems.

Uses expertise in workflow analysis and knowledge of ERP software module interactions to conceive of and then apply improvements to complex financial processes as well as to other operational, financial, or logistics processes, data, and infrastructure.

Applies the principles and techniques of computer science, application development, and mathematical analysis into software-based approaches.

Analyzes needs, working with organizational staff to translate them into workable specifications and requirements for automated solutions.

Designs and builds processes, models, and interfaces for interacting with organizational databases or data warehouses.

Researches, designs, and develops specialized applications and utility programs, and recommends the adoption of new applications as appropriate for the enhancement of business objectives.

Coordinates changes to databases, and identifies, investigates, and resolves data and performance issues.

Reports on the health of projects, providing specific supporting analysis to promote project success.

Coordinates between multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of efforts, and provides group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer.

Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).

Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

Capable of assessing products and procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles, internal controls, and system application standards.

Requires strong knowledge of relational databases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environments and capabilities; able to utilize and work within ERP platforms and other automated business systems and applications.

Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.

Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.

U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.

Travel may be required.

Ability to work overtime required on occasion.

Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.

Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Participate in gathering information from various sources and assemble the information into a comprehensive work product for leadership's final determination. Finished projects are submitted timely, completely and accurately, and successfully address the assignment. The final product must meet the mission need. Deadlines will be adjusted according to unanticipated complications of the assignment. Tasking are often performed under tight time constraints for a variety of diverse and complicated projects. Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization). Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials. Experience with data analytics, and creating user-friendly data-driven management-level decision making tools, such as a dashboards and staffing models. The decision making tools must have combined multiple fields among multiple datasets, must have had different types of calculations underlying the display (e.g., trend analysis, forecasting, descriptive statistics, data mining), and must have been utilization-focused and tailorable to the audience. 3 years of experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Enterprise Server, and R programming 3 years of experience working with clients to improve data quality 2 years of experience with performance measures and efficiency statistics 2 years of experience presenting data and dashboards to an interdisciplinary audience.
