As a Senior Data Analyst, on the Reliability Analytics and Data Science team, you'll be turning massive datasets into actionable insights that improve the services we offer our customers.

The RADS team is a multifunctional, fast paced team, that is bringing novel approaches and tools to complex problems. You'll have the opportunity to explore over 30PB of data, stored in a variety of formats and requiring high level SQL and some Spark skills to wrangle! When your analysis is ready, you'll get to tell a story through data and share it with senior leaders through different depictions for a lasting impact. Along the way, you'll collaborate with the product team, cable industry experts, data scientist, data engineers and software developers in order to deliver the best data driven answers that our customers deserve!

In this role, you'll work with business partners to understand the questions they have, carry out the needed analysis with the best data available and communicate your results. Additionally, you'll get a chance to learn about new technologies and mentor junior members of the team. Since we work closely, and frequently, with data engineers, you'll get a chance to learn about the tools they use to turn your analysis into automated production grade solutions and data products. Responsibilities:

  • Engage with product managers and domain experts to understand the needed analysis

  • Discover and explore data in various formats to find the best answers

  • Write efficient SQL and Spark code to arrive at insights

  • Deliver actionable summaries of your findings

  • Continuously learn new technologies, improve process and document best practices

  • Mentor other members on the team

  • Balance independent and collaborative work as a part of a multi-functional agile team

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience converting open-ended questions into defined actionable insights

  • Expert SQL skills at scale

  • Expert interpersonal skills and communication (presentations and dashboards)

  • Experience with Tableau

  • Willingness to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution

  • Experience with Spark is a big plus

  • Familiarity with Python is preferred

  • Experience working in the cloud (AWS) is a plus

  • Other duties and responsibilities as necessary

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (master's preferred) and appropriate professional work experience for the role

  • Generally requires 7-11 years of related experience
