A Senior Data Analyst in the Data Products Team will serve as a highly skilled and experienced leader by providing credentialed investment data expertise and opinion or technical analysis support to various product and project teams. Senior Data Analysts will serve as primary contributors in powering the products owned by the Data Products Team through the creation of detailed analytical models and by providing qualified opinions related to the integration and processing of investment data. These individuals will lead specific issue resolution activities by providing high level advanced triage support to stakeholders, business partners, and product teams while conducting deep dives into data and using their industry expertise to analyze business process and discrepant data scenarios.
Provide advanced analytical insights within the Data Products Program by exhibiting mastery and subject matter expertise across the business and technical process that underlie each product and/or investment scenario owned by the team
Evaluate business processes by conducting detailed data analysis on investment data used across Portfolio Services business unit to assist in existing feature validation and/or new feature creation
Partner with product, development, and business teams to define business use cases while participating as 'power users' in UAT and implementation processes
Provide support to business and technical teams by responding to data and product related inquiries in real-time
Use statistical models and industry recognized investment data calculation methodologies to perform various data analytics in SQL and MS Excel
Exercise relational database knowledge to construct and execute SQL queries to be used in data analysis activities
Assist in the design, development, testing, and integration of existing and new data products across the organization
Work collaboratively across the product and business teams to optimize data quality and platform throughput
Lead data management and quality control activities across the Data Products Program
Minimum 7-10 years of industry experience as a Business/Data Analyst in the investment data domain with 3-5 experience in data analysis using tools such as SQL and Excel AND/OR
Master's Degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related with 3-5 years of industry experience in data analysis using SQL
CIPM, CFA, and/or CAIA certification(s) strongly desired with demonstrated track record of relevant technical experience (SQL and relational database knowledge)
Capable of constructing advanced SQL queries to extract, leverage, and analyze complex data sets AND/OR
Deep expertise and understanding of financial markets, investment data, and resulting data scenarios/business implications associated with data management in the financial services industry
3+ years of industry experience managing the integration of data from external sources across client, fund, and market data domains
Proven track record of working autonomously in a highly-productive environment, executing with comfort in gray areas, and executing across multiple competing deadlines with fast-paced delivery targets is required
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
