Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

Summit Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst for a potential contract with our government client. You will take a lead role providing cybersecurity support for a government classified environment. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the security and compliance of classified networks. This is an onsite position in Adelphi, MD. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a DoD security clearance.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure 100% of security incidents and classified spillages are acknowledged within 4 business hours and resolved following government approved procedures.
• Responsible for the stringent protection of classified networks and systems.
• Implement and enforce DoD and Army IT and Cybersecurity policies designated for classified systems.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to Cybersecurity measures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and policies governing classified networks.
• Create reports with detailed findings, and remediation recommendations to the appropriate government stakeholders.
• Respond to classified incidents and coordinate containment and mitigation.
• Process and track decommissioning of classified equipment.
• Manage documentation and compliance for Data Loss Prevention.
• Oversee the submission of Cyber Maintenance Hardening Scorecard data.
• Review and suggest improvements to supporting policies.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in Cybersecurity.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting classified networks.
• In-depth knowledge of Cybersecurity principles, practices, and policies.
• Ability to manage CTO 22-025: Data Loss Prevention (DLP) documentation.
• Experience with decommissioning classified equipment via the Classified Turn In process.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents.
• Excellent understanding of DoD and Army IT policies.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• An 8570 IAM Level II certification (CISSP (or Associate), CAP, CASP+ ce, CISMGSLC, CCISO)

Security Clearance:

• Must be eligible for a DoD security clearance.
