Cyber Security Analysts conduct analysis to identify, monitor, and assess the risks posed by cyber actors and threats against PPG information systems, infrastructure, and cyber-related interests. Support PPG with strategic assessments and provide tactical analysis and advice for IT management, PPG functions, and strategic business units.
Cyber Security Analysts are professionals who apply their business and technical knowledge to solve complex problems, produce short-term and long-term written assessments, work with subject matter experts. Risk analysts establish the company security stance through policy development, architecture, and training processes. It is expected to interface with peers in the other departments as well as with leadership to both share the company security vision with those individuals and to solicit their involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise security through information sharing and cooperation. This work demands initiative, creativity, analytical skills, technical expertise, and business and/or manufacturing experience.
The Cyber Security Analyst will gather requirements, perform process mapping, build use cases, and identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and transformation. Risk Analysts will drive for integration of risk analysis process improvements and practices that will improve resiliency within the PPG business environment.
Lead and perform global risk management projects from planning through fieldwork and reporting;
Perform projects related to system implementation, cyber security, process transformation, acquisition, and various other key risk areas in a dynamic project plan;
Manage reviews to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation activities;
Collaborate with the business to mitigate risk and drive actions that are pragmatic and achievable;
Establish and maintain excellent relationships within the team and across the business;
Review work papers, including planning documents and audit reports, to ensure clear identification of risks and issues;
Communicate review findings timely and collaborate with process owners to develop creative, yet practical, recommendations to remediate findings;
Facilitate root cause analysis, gap analysis, and other process improvement approaches
Work directly with stakeholders to elicit their input and feedback on risk initiatives
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or other related field or equivalent combination of education and related work experience required
2 years of combined IT or IT security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, application development, database design, and administration
2 years of experience in one or more risk management areas or an information security compliance, audit or risk management role
Demonstrated experience in implementing and assessing SOX related standards, guidelines, and other regulatory mandates
Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills; feels comfortable working with non-technical business partners
