Job Description: Bose Corporation is seeking a Senior Customs & Trade Compliance Analyst within our Logistics Organization.

In this role you will ensure adherence to U.S. import and export compliance regulations and requirements. Responsibilities include: Provide global support for trade compliance matters based on local and international regulation Support the management of trade activities globally Work with other departments on strategic planning to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness in areas that involve import and export compliance Participate in conducting internal audits related to trade regulatory compliance.

Work with internal and external legal counsel to ensure compliance for all import and export transactions. Participates and makes recommendations on policies, procedures and trade compliance manuals. Keep current with that latest regulations and understood and implemented globally Ensure that the SAP/GTS system supports self-checking adherence to import and export regulations including management of content provider subscriptions for classification, Sanction Party List (SPL), NAFTA and ASEAN rules of origin, including transactional support.

Participate in cross-functional projects relating to trade compliance. Review and validate the import and export classifications of parts, materials, data, and services. Identify and report to Bose Corporation management any potential violations of trade compliance laws and compliance violations and any incidents involving significant weaknesses in processes or procedures.

Provide necessary trade compliance training and updates for employees having export compliance functions. Prepare and submit export licenses and agreements as well the monitoring the implementation of the technology control plan and other export and import compliance related procedures and work instructions. Provide support and guidance to outside functional groups for export and import compliance issues.

Maintain and assist with the implementation of company import and export compliance procedures and work instructions. Identify products for determination of Commodity Classification Requests (CCATS), and prepare ruling requests when appropriate. Prepare and monitor export licenses, agreements, shipping documents, and other underlying documentation for accuracy compliance with EAR and other applicable regulations.

Correspond with the Global Supply Management department and outside vendors and service providers to obtain and/or provide documentation and information required for trade compliance purposes. Assist in preparation of letters and other correspondence to vendors, brokers, and other parties involved in export or import transactions. Prepare periodic updates and metrics reports for export and import operations for trade compliance management.

The Project Manager, Customs plays an integral role in the implementation Staples Brands Group trade policies and procedures. You will be involved with import product from time of SKU creation to delivery at the warehouse. This includes classifications, regulatory checks, Customs entry, and executing the CTPAT program. You must have extensive knowledge of Government regulations to make compliant business decisions in a fast-paced environment. This position has substantial involvement with cross functional areas such as Product Development, Sourcing, Operations, Legal and Transportation along with direct involvement with Government agencies. Primary Responsibilities: * Oversee import operations to maintain timely and accurate Customs entry. Monitor shipping documentation, key EDI messages and ISF filings. Monitor and resolve Customs and other Government agency exams. Direct filing of post entry amendments as needed. * Responsible for determining Customs classifications and regulatory requirements (licenses, certificates, etc.) Conduct pre-class and/or product line reviews with Product Development and Sourcing teams. Write and submit binding rulings to CBP. * Provide technical expertise and training to Staples associates on trade compliance matters. Monitor and communicate trade compliance updates/ changes and develop recommendations for business decisions. * Oversee execution of CTPAT security program including scheduling factory audits, developing corrective action plans and maintenance of Security Profile. Engage cross functional areas within Staples as well as external business partners to provide appropriate training on supply chain security. * Monitor ACH Period Monthly Statement for timely and accurate payment of duties and taxes to CBP. * Analyze Customs broker KPI's and ACE import data to support and enable corporate goals of on-time Customs clearance and trade compliance metrics. * Maintain continuous training to keep current with changing trade compliance policies. This may include attending seminars and conferences.
