Position Overview

Pure Storage is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to work in our Global Quality Engineering team, partnering with Operation Engineering, HW Design Engineering, Commodity Management, Supply Chain Operations, Contract Manufacturing partners and Pure Customers/Partners. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining, implementing, monitoring and reporting/presenting the product field quality metrics, as well as coordinating within Pure internal team for field quality issues RCCA/8D reports and providing closed loop communication to the Pure Customers/Partners . The role requires a strong understanding of quality assurance principles, strong program management/coordination skill, sensitivity about company data/proprietary information disclosure and strong and effective communication skill

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, monitor and report/present the customer quality metrics to Pure Management.

  • Develop a database to track customer/partner quality incidents.

  • Responsible for understanding and managing customer/partner quality requirements & issue feedback

  • Partner/coordinate with Pure cross functional teams and manufacturing partners for customer/partner quality issue investigation, mitigation and correction actions.

  • Provide closed loop communication to Pure Account Manager/Customer Supports for the customer quality issues, including writing and providing the root cause analysis and corrective actions using standard when necessary.

  • Feedback customer quality issues/lessons learnt to Pure internal team for continuous improvement.

  • Participate in Pure quality escalation meetings and ensure customer quality is protected.

  • Responsible for ensuring non-disclosure of the company data/proprietary information to the customers.

  • Responsible for the Customer Quarterly Business Review/Scorecard for Quality section and provide action plan when necessary.

  • Participate in the customer Quality matter related meetings and customer Quarterly Business Review/Scorecard meetings.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in customer quality in fast pace high tech manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or other engineering discipline is required.

  • Proven experience in customer support quality engineering, logical thinking, problem solving, customer communication and interface skills.

  • Experience/basic knowledge in SMT/PCBA/Box build experiences in the network storage industry is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and reliability in all aspects of work.

  • Strong and effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functional teams and present data/information clearly and concisely to both Pure internal and the customers.

Pay Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $196,000.00 /Yr.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
