The Senior CRM Developer is responsible for the analysis of University-wide information system requirements, development of specifications, and writing system documentation for Georgetown 360, a Constituent Relationship Management system being built on Salesforce to support both Advancement and University-wide CRM. S/he provides technical support for analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of the CRM system. The Senior CRM Developer works with all members of the implementation team, subject matter experts, and stakeholders from academic, administrative offices, with members of faculty, student, research and alumni communities and with vendors. Reporting to the Associate Director, Integrations, this individual will have duties that include but are not limited to:
Analyzes, defines, implements changes to, and supports Salesforce applications as well as other enterprise web applications.
Manages packages and integrations to include development in Salesforce Apex, trigger and workflow design.
Manages changes to the production environment and technology-based assets of the organization (such as application software, production databases, operating systems, and hardware).
Ensures configuration control, documented testing planning, and quality assurance.
Anticipates, recognizes, and resolves technical hardware, software, application or operational problems.
Makes effective use of activities, tasks, tools and techniques for testing applications to ensure adherence to functional and quality requirements.
Maintains awareness and acquires knowledge in the latest technology trends and challenges in Salesforce and CRM applications (to include third party apps in the app exchange).
Makes effective use of tools and platforms for design, development and support of e-commerce business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-consumer (B2C) applications, such as the online credit card payment gateway.
Takes appropriate measures to assure adherence to standards associated with accessing, altering and protecting organizational data.
BS/BA in Computer Science or related computing intensive field and 5 years of experience, or: Master`s degree in Computer Science/MIS or related computing intensive field, with 2 years of experience
5-7 Years of object oriented software development (C++, C#, Java)
Extensive experience with Salesforce Apex, trigger and workflow design
Web service design and implementation experience with a focus on integration design and implementation
Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience developing in an Agile methodology
Ability to build and use effective working relationships within own department and across line, functional and geographic reporting lines
Experience developing Force.com Visual Force pages, Managed Packages, and integrations
Experience building and executing Salesforce development test plans
Salesforce deployment and change management experience and/ or Salesforce developer certification
Experience developing Force.com Lightning Components, Lighting Pages (to include Community Builder), and working with Managed Packages and integrations
