Job Summary:

Oversight responsibility for the provision of high quality credit underwriting and portfolio maintenance to support a designated group of line units. Primary liaison between

Commercial Banking Group (Middle Market, Business Banking, and Small Business Banking) and 1st line Risk & Control, addressing credit related issues, including but not limited to, risk appetite, credit operations, underwriting processes, regulatory requirements, supporting model management, self-identified issues, coordinate exam and issues resolution management, adherence to policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines, credit culture & awareness, credit policy support and credit strategy support. Plays a key role in balancing asset growth with credit quality as part of achieving group's financial objectives. Reports directly to the Commercial Credit Risk Officer.

Major Responsibilities:

Support the assigned line of business & strategy team with the development of credit related strategies focused on achieving business growth objectives, ensuring alignment with risk appetite objectives. This will require coordinating between the impacted business units, model management, credit operations, credit policy, procedures & underwriting guidelines development, quality assurance, credit training & culture and documenting the effort to support independent review.

Support efforts to identify credit risk related issues and coordinate issues resolution management. Support internal and external exams and resolutions management. Support credit policies, procedures, underwriting guidelines are updated, appropriate and align with risk appetite.

Support the quality control and assurance group to ensure policies, procedures and guidelines are interpreted correctly, tolerances established and maintained. Risk Appetite: work with the various business units to develop & monitor appropriate metrics and tolerances to ensure high quality underwriting and portfolio quality is maintained. Credit Training & Culture, ensure underwriting and portfolio management consistency across the business units; ensure business units adhere to Risk Management requirements; support the development and enhance risk management reporting.

Plays a leading role in setting expectations for ongoing credit monitoring and analysis in all segments of the portfolio. Ensures that portfolio management is consistent with Bank standards and policies, is conducted on a consistent and thorough basis, and effectively manages and monitors risk of the portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of C&I underwriting, portfolio management, and/or credit administration experience.

  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal capability.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle several complex tasks simultaneously.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Servicing Regulatory Business Control Group Manager, the Regulatory Business Control Manager III is responsible for monitoring compliance in the assigned regulatory risk focus area(s), and communicating this information to line Servicing business line personnel. The focus area for this position is specifically credit card servicing, including the CARD Act, Regulation Z disputes, charge-back processing, and Ability to Pay requirements, FDCPA, with some additional experience in both secured and unsecured servicing preferable but not required. Depending on the focus area, may be required to develop and produce monthly reports for executive management. Significant effect at division or group level, and has a moderate to significant effect on the Bank's overall operations, public image, and regulatory evaluation. Advise executive and line management on emerging risk issues, and assist the Servicing line of business personnel in establishing policies, procedures and controls. Major Responsibilities: * Lead and assist the credit card servicing business to stand up and enhance a compliance controls framework. Keep up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations impacting credit cards and promptly communicate this information to Servicing business line personnel. * Apply career experience in consumer and small business credit cards to a growing unsecured servicing business. * Engage business process owners with your practical skills for designing and implementing key controls to ensure regulatory compliance. * Create/maintain databases and status reports for providing risk-focused information regarding the Bank's compliance with certain regulations. * Monitor the status of any necessary corrective actions. * Maintain effective working relationships with line management, and provide technical subject matter expertise, training, information, and analysis to Servicing business line personnel. * Initiate and complete special project assignments, such as due diligence examinations, task force projects, or special ad hoc reviews. Qualifications: * Experience in reading, interpreting, and applying the knowledge of the CARD Act to operational processes. * Excellent ability to analyze and communicate verbally and in writing and make recommendations effectively regarding complex laws and regulations to line of business personnel and senior management. * Demonstrate leadership, presentation, and project management skills. * Requires practical risk and compliance experience in credit card servicing * A Bachelor's degree is typically required, and other professional certifications are desirable.
