SUMMARY:

The Senior Credit Analyst underwrites complex commercial relationships, including Commercial & Industrial and Investment Real Estate relationships. The Senior Analyst assists the Credit Analysis Supervisor and the Credit Analysis Director in delivering training to Credit Analysts. The Senior Credit Analyst interacts with a variety of professionals and represents the bank in interactions with bank clients and other professionals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Works independently on complex financial analysis; underwrites complex commercial loan relationships within established service levels.

  • Independently constructs financial models and performs complex financial analysis, including but not limited to discounted cash flows and enterprise valuation.

  • Assists in the preparation of various reports, including loan committee activity, policy and procedure exceptions and other reports that assist in monitoring the credit metrics of the loan portfolio.

  • Exercises sound judgement regarding loan policies and procedures and may counsel loan officers and credit staff with respect to loan structure.

  • Maintains working knowledge on emerging regulatory issues.

  • Assists in the preparation of Industry Studies that include, but is not limited to: i) a review of the regional and national markets, ii) analysis of the performance of the bank's portfolio, iii) analysis of the financial stability of the industry and key risks, iv) recommendation to senior and executive management regarding segment limits which ultimately are presented to the bank's board of directors for approval.

  • May be asked to participate in or lead process improvement projects. These projects may be internal or cross-functional.

  • May be asked to participate in or lead or validate reporting.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and/or Economics with sufficient credits in Finance/Economics.

  • Minimum of three years of credit management experience with a thorough understanding of credit operations and commercial lending

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • High level of attention to detail, with strong problem solving & organizational skills

  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environment

  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel

  • Complete all required compliance training by established deadlines

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Occasional standing, walking, bending and stooping required

  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer

  • Some travel required

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: * Gathers data and structures reporting to service business needs. * Completes full root-cause analysis on inventory issues and develops action plan. * Creates and implements inventory reduction plans. * Identifies and communicates issues or unusual trends in inventory. * Manages resources based on inventory need; updates schedules. * Designs and manages an efficient staff scheduling system for short-term future needs which includes the development of * shift requirements and paid time off (PTO) planning. * Determines how to best distribute the staff to meet projected work volumes. * Utilizes shift schedule templates to determine shifts. * Creates shift schedules in WFM system. * Develops a set of priority rules that will govern how shifts are assigned. * Establish a set of scheduling resources and monitoring systems to manage schedule administration, communication and to track performance. * Performs real-time analysis duties to ensure service levels are met. * Monitors call volume demand in real time and flexes workforce accordingly. * Ensures that the best possible call center service levels are achieved to maximize utilization. * Monitors call volume and average speed of answer (ASA) in real time & adjusts schedules to ensure consistent service is * maintained. * Analyzes historical patterns to determine nature, variance, and seasonality of call arrival patterns.
