The Bridgestone Americas Law Department is seeking a Senior Counsel, Real Estate attorney for its Real Estate Law Group, which supports the North American Business Units (NABU). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.NABU consists of the following business units: Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC; Firestone Building Products; Firestone Industrial Products and Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC (BSRO).This position will have significant responsibilities for real estate issues related to BSRO's approximately 2,200 stores as well as additional real estate responsibilities for all other NABU entities and Bridgestone Americas, Inc. These responsibilities will include the following: greenfield projects involving retail, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution facilities; lease negotiations and existing portfolio support; new store development; real estate litigation; mergers and acquisitions; condemnation proceedings and ADA-driven building accommodation matters; construction contracts; and environmental issues.This position may present significant opportunity for growth in different areas of corporate practice both within real estate and outside of real estate.
The Senior Counsel, Real Estate will work closely with other practice area attorneys and paralegals in the Law Department, including attorneys and paralegals engaging in business/transactional law, labor & employment, compliance, litigation, environmental, mergers and acquisitions, corporate services and intellectual property. This position will report to the Associate General Counsel, Real Estate.
