Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs (CNSP) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cost Estimator to provide accurate and reliable independent cost estimates, review design cost estimates and make recommendations whether the cost estimate is credible and compliant with applicable UFC standard. This role requires extensive experience in cost estimation across military, federal, civil, structural, commercial, transportation, and education sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong AF Design & Construction cost estimating experience, analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Cost Estimator: Pay commensurate with experience.

Senior Cost Estimator Responsibilities Include:

• Provide accurate cost estimates for a wide range of DoD and federal projects including FSRM and MILCON.

• Assist AFCEC in selection for cost deliverables to ensure such aspects as appropriate level of reporting, establishing metrics and cost factors, and to support data requirements.

• Produce a project cost estimate in accordance with all applicable UFCs, program policy, and program business rules including accuracy standards and be adjusted to local market conditions.

• Determine the MILCON Facility Replacement Cost for a facility in accordance with AFI 32- 1032, 3.5.1.

• Participate in comment resolution meetings, communicating basis and validity of any comments made to the designer of record, and provide technical assistance to the Government in adjudicating and resolving technical comments/findings.

• Analyze project specifications and requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates.

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure budget adherence and project feasibility.

• Review and validate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Apply expertise in cost estimation to military, federal, civil, structural, commercial, transportation, and education projects.

• Travel will be required to various Air Force bases (CONUS & OCONUS)

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Senior Cost Estimator Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience within the last 20 years in estimating projects across various sectors, including military, federal, civil, structural, commercial, transportation, and education project.

• Accredited Associate's degree in a design or construction industry-related field.

• Weng 400 certification, preferred

• Knowledge of AFI 32- 1032

• Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation for a wide range of projects.

• Strong analytical and communication skills to work effectively with project teams.

• Extensive experience in RSMeans, PACES, and/or MII cost estimating tools, required

• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
