Senior Cost Accountant - Agribusiness (Boise, ID)

Summary

This role determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly product cost reports and standard cost variance analysis summaries.

• Performs monthly inventory work order updates and inventory reconciliations.

• Performs accounting for cost variances and overhead allocations.

• Examines and reviews cost records and ensures cost data is allocated correctly.

• Coordinates annual budgeting process with production sites.

• Updates standard costs on a regular basis; sets up standard costs for new products.

• Coordinates and performs inventory counts with production sites and auditors.

• Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entry documentation.

• Prepares periodic compliance reports and census survey reports.

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

5+ years related experience and/or training

This is a senior-level position to the Cost Accounting job family requiring a comprehensive understanding of Accounting fundamentals and principals. The work is varied and complex. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.
