Corrpro Companies, Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior Corrosion Engineer in our Houston, TX office.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule activities for efficient utilization of resources

  • Establish crews and assign work based on complexity of tasks and individual capacities

  • Provide technical supervision and technical assistance to other divisions within the company

  • Monitor progress of project activities

  • Coordinate engineering aspects of installation process

  • Review and edit engineering reports; consult field staff regarding revisions in analysis or modifications of system designs as appropriate

  • Supervise and/or perform tests required to determine condition of soil, water, underground or submerged structures

  • Direct the preparation of field drawings; determine design modifications required by unanticipated structural features, etc.

  • Supervise and participate in post installation survey

  • Coordinate interference testing and bonding required with client and affected companies

  • Prepare information for billing at periodic stages or project completion

  • Prepare final client report

  • Ensure proper application of methods and procedures, modify as appropriate

  • Review charts, tables, calculations and related data gathered

  • Perform economic evaluations of alternative methods of cathodic protection and corrosion control

  • Attend pre-bid, project review, and project close meetings with existing clients.

  • Attend sales meetings and perform information sessions for prospective clients.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering or related degree. NACE level 3 certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 10+ years professional experience. Required Operator qualifications.

  • Registered PE Preferred.

  • Must have strong project management and problem solving skills. Strong team and internal customer service skills are a must.

This is an opportunity to take a lead role on developing corrosion assessments and materials selection studies for Oil & Gas production and process facilities. The Senior Materials and Corrosion Specialist will be part of a multidisciplinary team working on major engineering projects, as well as supporting Integrity Management consultancy activities. Responsibilities: * Lead corrosion modelling and corrosion assessment studies * Develop material selection for O&G production and process equipment (Refinery/Petrochemical) * Identify and apply new technology for corrosion control, corrosion monitoring and inspection * Develop corrosion management plans * Write technical reports based on assessments * Develop material specifications * Develop CP design and corrosion coatings selection and application * Develop threat identification and define criticality as part of RBI studies * Liaise with specialized engineering disciplines for resolution of corrosion and materials related concerns * Interface with clients to obtain project information and discuss study results * Development and submission of proposals * Involvement with industry associations and academic institutions * Compliance with the company's Quality and HSE policies * Achieve company goals / personal KPI's Skills / Qualifications * Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical or Materials); MS Corrosion, Materials or Chemical an asset * Minimum of 5 years corrosion management work experience in upstream and/or O&G processing (Refinery/Petrochemical) * Understanding of internal corrosion phenomena in O&G production and processing, including corrosion modelling, materials selection and corrosion inhibitor selection and testing * Knowledge in specifying or defining cathodic protection and protective coating systems * Ability to work effectively across technology functions and within multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical design, flow assurance, fabrication and production) * Familiar with the use of API 580 and 81 codes and familiarization with integrity management software/databases * Excellent verbal and technical writing skills * Must be eligible to work in the United States Company Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
