The Role and Responsibilities
Roku is looking for a Senior Corporate Research Manager to join the Corporate & Policy Communications team. This person will be a strategic advisor to the extended Corporate team using data to highlight Roku's leadership and shape the corporate narrative. The role will manage claims and track data against them.
This position is based in our new San Jose, CA headquarters.
The Senior Corporate Research Manager will:
Lead corporate research, which will include brand trackers and custom studies that can be cited publicly.
Help the team understand the marketplace by managing relationships with analyst firms, monitoring secondary research and other sources for data and information.
Develop and conduct research with employees in support of internal communications, HR and facilities.
Manage and generate insights using various primary research tools, including surveys, focus groups, one-on-one interviews, as well as relevant secondary research and analyst sources.
Onboard and manage new vendors.
Collaborate closely with the Corporate & Policy Communications teams to understand business issues and provide insights to achieve company objectives.
Disseminate insights effectively to various teams and levels across the organization.
10+ years of primary research experience, with some on the vendor side
Mix of extensive qualitative and quantitative research experience
Proven track record of generating, sharing and championing insights
Owning every step of the research process, including designing research and instruments, monitoring data collection and processing, and reporting and presenting results
High attention to detail as well as the ability to see the big picture
Ability to deal successfully with ambiguity, limited resources and time constraints
Past experience in corporate, policy or communications research, preferably in consumer electronics or streaming
