Project ECHO is experiencing exponential growth and is currently seeking a Senior Corporate Relations Officer to join our team!

The Senior Corporate Relations Officer will report to the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations and will help build the internal capacity to steward and manage an increasingly larger portfolio of prospects and funders.

As the Senior Corporate Relations Officer, you will:

  • Interact with Project ECHO senior management and administrators to coordinate granting activities in support of potential prospects.

  • Meet regularly with senior management to stay abreast of ECHO granting priorities and needs.

  • Regularly share status updates around potential prospects within the granting pipeline.

  • Coordinate the administration of multiple prospects and serve as the principal liaison between the program team, ECHO leadership, and the funder.

  • Oversee the coordination of the grant proposal process, from Concept Note to proposal, and final grant agreement.

  • Track process in Salesforce, establishing a historical record for future reference and report generation.

  • Coordinate communication proactively with the appropriate representatives at the UNM Foundation.

  • Perform research of potential prospects to determine alignment and generate corporate and foundation fundraising leads.

  • Generate prospects through desk research and coordinating with the UNM Foundation for prospect research, as needed.

  • Create outreach strategy informed by prospect research and alignment, in alignment with the UNM Foundation and other key stakeholders.

  • Steward relationships throughout the lifecycle of the grantmaking process, from initial relationship building, through the grant proposal process, to reporting and communicating with stakeholders during the grant, through the renewal process.

  • Craft outreach communication informed by prospect research.

  • Set up and attend regular check-ins with funders, and working with the program teams, stay abreast of and communicate progress against deliverables for each grant.

  • Look for ways to engage both current and potential funders in ECHO's work.

  • Work toward renewal and/or upselling of current funders.

  • Coordinate with the Project ECHO Communications Team to develop outreach collateral for potential prospects and help with the framing of outreach collateral for 2-pagers focused on disease areas, geographies, strategic initiatives, such as our gender equity strategic focus.

  • Create presentations tailored to funder needs.

We work with partners all over the world and work hours outside of normal business hours may be required. We are fortunate to have access to advanced technology, which will require some teleworking.

Conditions of Employment

  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of documented professional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
