Under direction from the Director of Finance/Accounting, performs specialized and general financial analysis for planning cycles, customer profitability evaluations and special strategic projects, usually involving complex and confidential data. Obtains and analyzes financial information to prepare reports, statements and recommendations. Will provide special project assistance to the CEO, Group VPs and coordinate and standardize work across all the mills in collaboration with the Business Controllers & Administrative Managers. Will assist with reporting for the quarterly Board of Directors' meetings. Will work closely with Director of Accounting/Finance and assist during critical month-end and year-end cycles.

Essential Functions

1.Business support, standardizing analysis and financial reporting on Lean efforts occurring across all the mills, aiming to provide insight into the financial impact of such initiatives.

2.Responsible for leading planning cycles, forecasting, budgeting and long-range cycles, focusing on timely coordination, process improvement and analysis of data.

3.Lead the standardization of Customer Profitability reporting across the mills and consolidation for Total PTC, maximizing the use of Silverman Tools and Plymouth's data repository.

4.Provide leadership with specific ongoing and future strategic initiatives.

5.Aid in the preparation of information and reports used for the board of directors, and other ad-hoc analysis.

6.Assist in providing analytical review of capital projects, capital vs. lease analysis, and other bank facilities analysis.

7.Assist in major accounting cycles, as well as other accounting functions.

8.Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct supervisory responsibilities, but critical interaction with Mills' Business Controllers / Administrative Managers.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with flexible work times between 7am - 5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand and is mandatory in January at year-end close / audit time.


Around 25% travel is expected for this position. (Mill visits and possible training opportunities)

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or 12+ years of equivalent number of years of relevant experience in accounting/Finance. Successful hands-on finance and managerial experience is essential. FP&A, Strategic Financial Analysis experience are highly desired. Must have advanced excel skills. A high degree of emotional intelligence is desired and the ability to collaborate with other functions and interact with C-Suite.

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience working in a Manufacturing Company.

MBA or CPA designation desirable

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The Sr. Financial Analyst is a key member of the team that has primary responsibility for the short- and long-term valuation of Nuclear fleet economics. The day to day responsibilities vary; many work streams involve specific initiatives around the fleet to maintain or enhance its value, including business case evaluations for capital projects using discounted cash flow analysis and assessment of potential commercial opportunities. In addition, this position develops and defends Nuclear's offer caps for PJM's annual capacity auctions. The work is highly analytical. Must be able to fulfill ad hoc requests from various internal and external sources to support decision-making and provide necessary insight to executives, managers, department heads and line personnel. Individual must be flexible, proactive and able to work with ambiguity. Individual must be able to commit to the time requirements of this position, which may demand extended hours as required. Supports development of a learning organization by developing training material and implementing training around the drivers to asset value 6. Perform periodic Ad-hoc reporting and analyses 7. Work with Manger to develop and oversee the work product of more junior financial analysts in the group and provide training and guidance as required.
