Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Inc., the sixth largest generic pharmaceutical company in the United States, seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel for its Eatontown, New Jersey headquarters.

The Senior Corporate Counsel will report to and work closely with the U.S. General Counsel located in Eatontown, New Jersey on corporate legal matters. The Senior Corporate Counsel will be responsible for managing corporate transactions, mergers, and acquisitions for Hikma.
The Senior Corporate Counsel will provide legal perspective and advice to assist internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives and make business decisions in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities of the Senior Corporate Counsel will be wide ranging and will include serving as a trusted legal partner with respect to business initiatives, general corporate transactions, joint development and licensing deals, distribution and supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, and sales and marketing agreements.
It is expected that the Senior Corporate Counsel will have the relevant background and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and the legal framework under which a pharmaceutical company operates.
Up to 10% -15% travel is required.
A Juris Doctor degree and admission to and in good standing with the bar of at least one state and eligibility to practice law in-house in New Jersey are required.
Minimum 10 years' experience practicing law.
Prior law-firm experience working with pharmaceutical and/or life science companies, or in-house experience with a pharmaceutical or life science company is highly preferred.
Must be able to provide practical, efficient, and sound legal advice on a broad range of complex issues affecting the Company.
Must possess excellent organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
Strong ability to coordinate projects from beginning to end, balance multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and work with cross functional groups is required.Preferred candidates must have substantial knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and experience handling general corporate commercial issues arising in the generic pharmaceutical context, including drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements, and experience advising on complex legal transactions (mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures).
