Develop and manage a portfolio of client relationships with corporate and large middle-market clients (typically with revenues in excess of $500mil). Primary responsibilities include originating and managing credit and deposit relationships while coordinating delivery of all BB&T financial services capabilities (syndications, capital markets, treasury management, derivatives, corporate trust, asset management, risk management, etc.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1.Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate credit and deposit relationships. Responsibilities include originating direct and syndicated loans with risk profiles, structure and pricing consistent with Bank policy.
2.Monitor credit relationships to ensure ongoing compliance with approved terms and conditions. Review existing relationships with credit administration at intervals consistent with Bank policy.
3.Coordinate delivery of all BB&T Financial Services capabilities, including capital markets (e.g. Debt Capital Markets, Derivatives, Equity Capital Markets and Syndications), treasury management, equipment finance, retirement & institutional trust, insurance, asset management and international.
4.Possess an in-depth knowledge of prospective clients in assigned area of geographic coverage.
5.Serve as a mentor for other less experienced department members as they develop and refine credit underwriting, negotiation, and cross-selling skills/techniques.
6.Attend advanced product knowledge training classes to develop an extensive knowledge level of corporate products and services.
