Senior Corporate Analyst

Overview & Responsibilities

Purpose of Job:

To ensure the timely production of appropriate and accurate financial information for management purposes from the Corporate Accounting Team. The Corporate Analysis team (and by extension the role) is responsible for a wide variety of financial analyses for financial management. The team will act in an oversight and coordination role for such analysis with key stakeholders including the parent company, external auditors and other external advisors.

Background and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 5 years of financial accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a corporate reporting finance function preferred.

• Requires a Certified Public Accountant certification (or equivalent)

• Ability to demonstrate a history of performing continuous improvement actions leading to more efficient and effective operations.

• Experienced with delivering multi layered reporting requirements including input and reconciliation between several systems and data sources

• Experienced working in a multi company and currency environment

• Competent in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

• Experience of working with FCCS and/or Stravis reporting tools beneficial.

Nature of the Job:

• Perform tasks appropriately within the team to ensure on time delivery of information and analysis

• Support the Consolidation Team in ensuring data is accurate and in line with reporting requirements

• Act as a focal point for the internal Corporate Team for reporting requirements, disseminating changes to requirements as required to worldwide teams.

• Ensure Systems and processes are in place to enable timely and accurate reporting, including evaluation and implementation of improvements to systems and process to support these deliverables.

Contact with others:

Regular contract with Corporate Finance management and staff, as well as international Ledgers and Controls teams. Interacts with auditors and parent company finance staff.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for validating that reporting data is prepared appropriately under IFRS, and reconciles to the underlying source data

• Responsible for preparing Elliott's quarterly reporting requirements to Ebara. Actual/Plan Forecast data is required to be reported into Ebara Corporate Consolidation Department. via Ebara's Stravis consolidation & financial reporting system.

• Responsible for generation of allocation and budget write off, along with ongoing monitoring and review of sufficiency.

• Support the production and provision of cross region financial analysis for stakeholders

• Provides timely information & analysis to external auditors on a quarterly, annual and ad hoc basis to allow them to complete their duties on a timely basis

• Responsible for regular reporting of Key Financial information to support operations (e.g. Capital Expenditure reporting).

• Support coordination of quarterly and year end reviews by external auditors.

• Support 'Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley' (J-SOX) requirements.

• Support the FPA group in the production of corporate plans and forecasts

• Deputize for the Financial Accounting Manager over short periods as required.
